Ich bin immer noch tief berührt vom Remix meines Films „Mont Real“ im Rahmen einer Live-Performance und von seiner Rezeption. Der Remix, eine Gemeinschaftsarbeit von acht Musikern und bildenden Künstlern, wurde am 8. August 2015 im Topological Media Lab der Concordia University in Montreal der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert.  Der ursprüngliche Kurzfilm von zwanzig Minuten Dauer entstand während der neun Monate, die ich 1988/89 als Artist in Residence an der Concordia University verbrachte.

Anlässlich meines Besuchs in Montreal mit meinem Sohn im August 2015 organisierte Felix Del Tredici eine Live-Performance - ein Ereignis, bei dem die meisten der auftretenden Musiker und bildenden Künstler jünger waren als der Film selbst. Es war, als würde man einem Werk, das vor vielen Jahren produziert wurde, neues Leben einhauchen.

Diese Dokumentation ist allen gewidmet, die an der Veranstaltung teilgenommen haben, allen, die sie möglich gemacht haben. 

Vielen Dank für diese ganz besonderen Momente. Lasst uns weitermachen.

I am still deeply touched by the remix of my film ”Mont Real“ and by its reception. The remix, a collaborative effort on the part of eight musicians and visual artists, was presented to the public on August 8, 2015 at Concordia University‘s Topological Media Lab in Montreal. 

The original short film, of twenty minutes‘ duration, was produced during the nine months that I spent as artist in residence at Concordia University in 1988-89.

On the occasion of my visit to Montreal with my son August 2015, a live performance was organized by Felix Del Tredici – an event in which most of the performing musicians and visual artists were younger than the film itself.

It was like breathing new life into a work that was produced many years ago.

This documentation is dedicated to all those who took part in the event, to all those who made it happen. 

Thank you so much for these very special moments. Let‘s keep forging ahead.
