Berlin | DE; Ebensee, Wien | AT; Paris | FR · 2002 – 2017 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Vor meinem Vortrag in Paris im Jahr 2002 war ich total nervös und aufgeregt: Eine in Paris lebende Freundin hatte mich eingeladen, dort mein Projekt Das Ewige Archiv · Les Archives éternelles zu präsentieren. Das Gebäude des österreichische Kulturinstitutes in Paris war von der FPÖVP-Koalition verkauft worden und das Heinrich-Heine-Haus der Deutschen in der Cité Universitaire war damals eine Art österreichisches Gegen-Kulturinstitut zum offiziellen. Am Tag vor dem Vortrag streifte ich also durch die Stadt auf der Suche nach einem spezifischen Paris-Bezug. Als ich einen Motorroller mit der Bezeichnung „Pantheon“ sah, war ich schlagartig beruhigt: ich konnte eine schöne thematische Verbindung von Motorrollern, Wunschkennzeichen und dem „wirklichen“ Panthéon in Paris herstellen. Ein anderer Motorroller der Marke „Majesty“ war dann noch der Extrabonus für mich. Très très bon!

Berlin | DE; Ebensee, Vienna | AT; Paris | FR · 2002 – 2017 (© PP · Eternal Archive) Before my speech in Paris in 2002, I was totally nervous and excited: a friend living in Paris invited me to present my project The Eternal Archive · Les Archives éternelles. The building of the Austrian Cultural Institute in Paris had been sold by the FPÖVP coalition and the Heinrich Heine House of the Germans in the Cité Universitaire was then a kind of Austrian counter-cultural institute to the official. So the day before the lecture, I roamed the city in search of a specific Parisian reference. When I saw a scooter called “Pantheon”, I was suddenly reassured: I was able to create a beautiful thematic connection of scooters, wish plate and the “real” Panthéon in Paris. Another scooter of the brand “Majesty” was then the extra bonus for me. Très très bon!
