Heilende Wirkung von Kreisverkehren? / Can Roundabouts Heal? Berlin | DE; Faak/See, Gugging, Krumpendorf, Stinkenbrunn, Wien | AT; Paris | FR · 2009 – 2017 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Wenn mir der Schädel zu platzen scheint, wenn manche Zustände mir den Atem nehmen (wollen), dann suche ich nach Halt: Kann (bildende) Kunst ernstzunehmende Aussagen zum Zustand der Welt machen, kann sie Widersprüche aufzeigen, gar da + dort so etwas wie „Heilung“ bewirken, oder handelt es sich um reinen Eskapismus? Mir sind erstaunliche, tranceartigen Wirkungen eines Drehtanz-Workshops bei „Impulstanz“ bekannt geworden, wo versucht wurde, die jahrhundertealte Tradition des Derwisch-Tanzes zu vermitteln. Stundenlanges Drehen mit offensichtlich wunderbaren, ephemeren, fast halluzinogenen Phänomenen. Was liegt also näher, als die (nicht nur, aber vor allem) hierzulande in überreichem Ausmaß vorhandenen Gestaltungen von Kreisverkehren näher – wertschätzend, emphatisch – in Augenschein zu nehmen. Mir scheint ja, dass es ein geschriebenes Gesetz geben muss in Österreich, dass in jedem noch so kleinen Kreisverkehr jedes bekannten oder auch abgelegenen Ortes hierzulande eine „Kreisverkehrs-Gestaltung“ (nenne ichs halt mal so) stehen muss. Vorschrift ist Vorschrift. Zumindest bei mir zeigen viele dieser Gestaltungen deutlich Wirkung – nicht unbedingt zum Positiven. Manche sollten wohl rezeptpflichtig sein. Der (noch) ungestaltete Kreisverkehr links oben liegt neben dem Institute of Science and Technology Austria in Maria Gugging und wird für Hirnforschungszwecke als Vergleichs-Kreisverkehr benötigt. Es gibt einen großartigen Film zu (nieder-)österreichischen Kreisverkehren von Johann Lurf: „Kreis Wr. Neustadt A to A“, 2011, 35mm / 3D-DCP 5 Min., mit einer 3D Kamera um (fast) jeden Kreisverkehr. I have been struck by the amazing trance-like effects of a dance-dancing workshop on Impulstanz, where they tried to convey the centuries-old tradition of dervish dance. Turning for hours with apparently wonderful, ephemeral, almost hallucinogenic phenomena. So what could be more obvious than to take a close look – not only, but above all – in the design of roundabouts available in abundance – esteemingly, emphatically. It seems to me that there must be a written law in Austria, that in every small roundabout every known or even remote place in this country has a “roundabout design” (I just call it that way) must be. Regulation is mandatory. At least for me, many of these designs have a clear effect – not necessarily for the better. Some should probably be prescription. The (still) undesigned roundabout on the top left is next to the Institute of Science and Technology Austria in Maria Gugging and is needed for brain research purposes as a comparison roundabout.
