Kein Jahresrückblick in Bildern. Berlin | DE; Wien | AT · 2019 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Und? Was bleibt bei so vielen Bildern unterm Strich dann über? Was war in dem Jahr? Nicht, dass ich hier den FB-Offenbarungseid, die SM-Jahresbilanz legen wollte – aber Anlass zur Selbstbefragung ist das Jahresende für mich allemal. Habe ich mit meinen 365 Tagen irgendetwas Sinnvolles gemacht? Irgendetwas, auf das ich stolz sein könnte? Habe ich irgendjemandem wirklich geholfen, bin ich ihm/ihr beigestanden? Habe ich einen Teil von meinem Luxus abgegeben, weitergeschenkt? Wieviel Mist habe ich produziert und hinterlassen, wen habe ich gekränkt, verletzt, geärgert, geschädigt? Gibt’s eine Jahresbilanz-Meldestelle? Wo ist das Tor, von dem Franz Kafka schreibt, das nur für mich gewesen wäre?

What was that year Not that I wanted to take the FB oath of disclosure, the SM annual balance sheet – but the end of the year for me is always a reason for self-questioning. Did I do anything useful with my 365 days? Anything I could be proud of? Did I really help anyone, did I stand by him / her? Have I given away part of my luxury, passed it on? How much crap have I produced and left behind, who have I offended, hurt, annoyed, harmed? Is there an annual balance sheet reporting office? Where is the gate that Franz Kafka is writing about that would have been just for me?
