START und ZIEL im Paradies von Cornelius Kolig (2021–2022). Vorderberg | AT · 2008–2023 (© PP · # 2907 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Das ZIEL ist im Paradies von Cornelius Kolig vor dem START positioniert – warum er das so angelegt hat, kann ich ihn nun nach seinem Tod nicht mehr fragen. Aber ab und zu frage ich mich selber, welche „Ziele“ ich erreicht habe, ob ich noch „Ziele“ habe und wenn ja: was wären das dann für Ziele? Das Wort „Lebensplan“ habe ich erstmals gehört oder gelesen, als Viktor Klima, der damalige Bundeskanzler von Österreich, überraschend erklärte, sein „Lebensplan“ sei es nicht (oder: nie?) gewesen, Bundekanzler zu werden. Jedenfalls jetzt – also zum Zeitpunkt seines Rücktritts – hätte er genug, Bundeskanzler zu sein. Offensichtlich sah sein Masterplan anders aus, soweit ich mich erinnere, wurde er dann Chefe des VW Konzerns in Argentinien und zeugte mit einer Mitarbeiterin ein oder mehrere Kinder.

Ich hatte jedenfalls nie einen Lebensplan – auch nicht den, eines Tages Direktor des Ewigen Archivs zu werden. Bin ich aber jetzt – und als solcher ist es mir ein Anliegen, auf das gewaltige Lebenswerk von Cornelius Kolig hinzuweisen.

„Die Bloßlegung und Verstärkung des Sinnlichen und damit Vermittelbaren des Lebens, seiner Schönheit und seiner Schrecken, von Wollust und Ekel, von Liebe, Gewalt, Krankheit, Leid, Tod, berauschter Existenzergriffenheit, des Stoffwechsels, der Farben, des Gestankes, der Wohlgerüche, des Tastens, der Freuden des Schmeckens und des Hörens . . . ist Inhalt des „Paradies“-Projektes.“

But from time to time I ask myself which “goals” I have achieved, whether I still have “goals” and if so: what kind of goals would they be? I first heard or read the word “life plan” when Viktor Klima, the then Federal Chancellor of Austria, surprisingly declared that it was not (or: never?) his “life plan” to become Federal Chancellor. In any case, now – that is, at the time of his resignation – he would have had enough being Chancellor. Apparently his master plan was different, as far as I remember he became head of the VW Group in Argentina and fathered one or more children with an employee.
In any case, I never had a life plan – not even that of becoming director of the Eternal Archives one day. But I am now – and as such it is important to me to point out the tremendous life’s work of Cornelius Kolig.

“The exposure and strengthening of the sensual and thus conveyable of life, its beauty and its horrors, of lust and disgust, of love, violence, illness, suffering, death, intoxicated existential emotion, of the metabolism, the colors, the stench, the pleasant smells, of touch, the pleasures of taste and hearing. . . is the content of the “Paradise” project.”
