Die ersten beiden habe ich in der Zeit meines Auslandsstipendiums an der Akademie der bildenden Kunst in Poznan/Polen gemacht, das rechts unten stammt von meinem Sohn, der im Sommer 2022 einen Freund und Studienkollegen besuchte.

„Der Kultur- und Wissenschaftspalast (polnisch Pałac Kultury i Nauki, abgekürzt PKiN) ist ein zwischen 1952 und 1955 auf Anordnung Josef Stalins im Baustil des Sozialistischen Klassizismus errichteter 237 Meter hoher Wolkenkratzer im Zentrum von Warschau. In den ersten Jahren seiner Fertigstellung war das damals Stalinpalast genannte 187,68 Meter hohe Gebäude, nach dem Hauptgebäude der Lomonossow-Universität in Moskau mit 240 Metern, das zweithöchste Gebäude Europas und ist heute, nachdem die Antenne 1994 angebracht wurde, mit 237 Metern das höchste in Polen.

The Palace of Culture and Science (Polish: Pałac Kultury i Nauki, abbreviated to PKiN) is a 237-meter-high skyscraper in the center of Warsaw built between 1952 and 1955 by order of Joseph Stalin in the architectural style of socialist classicism. In the first few years of its completion, the 187.68 meter high building, then known as the Stalin Palace, was the second tallest building in Europe after the main building of Lomonosov University in Moscow at 240 meters and is today, after the antenna was installed in 1994, at 237 meters highest in Poland.
