Vor den Vorhang: Die Hydrant*innen des Jahres! Jahresrückblick in Bildern contd. Amsterdam | NL; Boston, NYC, Staten Island | US; Brody | PL; Klagenfurt, Wien | AT; Lisboa | PT; Montréal | CA; Toulouse | FR · 1995–2020 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Jede*r Archivar*in weiß, wovon ich rede: Mann/Frau hat seine/ihre Lieblinge unter den gesammelten Kostbarkeiten! Besonders schwierig fällt mir der Gleichbehandlungs-Grundsatz bei den Hydrant*innen: Unter die Neuankömmlinge dieses Jahres musste ich dann doch einige meiner Alltime-Favorits schmuggeln: (Stars &)Stripes! das Rumpelstilzchen (4. von li.)!, den Feuerwehrmann (6. v. li.)! Die Portugiesin! (mittlere Reihe, das 1.); die Büßerin in Ketten! Verschleiert!! Kaum sonst fällt die Endausscheidung so schwer! Der als Shooting-Star angetretene „Isolierte in Alufolie“ (re. ob.) fand dann doch nur einen Platz unter „Ferner liefen . . .“ Naja – Dabeisein ist Alles!

Amsterdam | NL; Boston, NYC, Staten Island | US;Brody | PL;Klagenfurt, Vienna | AT;Lisboa | PT; Montréal | CA; Toulouse | FR · 1995–2020 (© PP · Eternal Archives) Every archivist knows what I’m talking about: man / woman has his / her favorites among the treasures collected!The principle of equal treatment with the hydrant is particularly difficult for me: I had to smuggle some of my all-time favorites among the newcomers of this year: (Stars &) Stripes! the Rumpelstiltskin (4th from left) !, the fireman (6th from left)! The Portuguese! (middle row, 1st); the penitent in chains! Veiled !! Hardly otherwise is the final round so difficult! The “isolated in aluminum foil” (top right), who appeared as a shooting star, only found a place under “Furthermore ran… “Well – being there is everything!
