Weltkugeln und der erste Joint · Globes and the first joint

Auf der Suche nach „Weltkugeln“ an meinen ersten „Joint“ gedacht und herzhaft lachen können. Brussel/Bruxelles | BE; Paris | FR; Wien | AT · 1973–2025 (© PP · # 3477 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Sonntags steht mir eher der Sinn nach leichter(er) Kost, ich ponderiere frisches Frühlingsgrün, Knospen, kurzfristig war ein Sortiment an „Torten“ im inneren Monolog, schließlich bin ich zu „Globen“, landläufig „Weltkugeln“ getaumelt, war ich doch erst kürzlich im Globenmuseum der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek (1. Reihe). Sehr interessant, sehr empfehlenswert, das Thema zu intensiv und komplex, um es in diesen wenigen hingeschusterten Zeilen auch nur ansatzweise zu berühren. Im Bildspeicher unweigerlich auf das Foto links gestoßen: Ein Typ mit Löwenmähne und adrett über die Schultern geworfenem Tuch hält sinnierenden Blicks einen Globus in der Hand! Plötzlich die Eingebung: „Mit dem hab ich doch – unter dem Küchentisch in seiner Wohnung liegend – meinen ersten Joint geraucht!“ Musste tatsächlich dann lauthals lachen. Sehr gut. Lang isses her: In den 1970-er Jahren war der samstägliche Flohmarkt in Wien „Am Hof“, in der Nähe des Grabens – dort entstand dieses Bild. Erst seit Ende der 1970-er Jahre ist der Parkplatz am oberen Ende des Naschmarktes der neue Standort.

While searching for “globes”, I thought of my first “joint” and laughed heartily. Brussel/Bruxelles | BE; Paris | FR; Vienna | AT – 1973-2025 (© PP – # 3477 – www.ewigesarchiv.at) On Sundays I’m more in the mood for light(er) fare, I ponder fresh spring greens, buds, for a short time an assortment of “cakes” was in my inner monologue, finally I staggered to ‘globes’, commonly known as “Weltkugeln”, I was only recently in the Globe Museum of the Austrian National Library (1st row). Very interesting, highly recommended, the topic too intense and complex to even begin to touch on in these few cobbled-together lines. I inevitably came across the photo on the left in the image memory: A guy with a lion’s mane and a neat scarf thrown over his shoulders holds a globe in his hand with a pensive look! Suddenly the inspiration: “I smoked my first joint with him – lying under the kitchen table in his apartment!” I actually had to laugh out loud. Very good. It’s been a long time: In the 1970s, the Saturday flea market in Vienna was “Am Hof”, near the Graben – that’s where this picture was taken. Only since the end of the 1970s has the parking lot at the upper end of the Naschmarkt been the new location.
