Frühmorgendliche Überraschung im wunderbaren Waschsalon / Surprise, surprise in My Beautiful Laundrette. Wien | AT · 2023 (© PP · # 2779 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Heute früh, ganz früh, als ich am Kassenautomaten prüfen wollte, welche der Automaten nicht mit „Außer Betrieb“ stigmatisiert waren, merkte ich, dass es eher schwer möglich werden würde, Geld in den Einwurfsschlitz zu werfen. Offensichtlich wollte jemand (M/W/D) nächtens oder frühmorgens mit Brechstange oder Pressluft-Zarge an den Geldbehälter. Auch die Versuche, bargeldlos zu bezahlen, wurden nicht akzeptiert. Ich schaute kurz in die blauen Augen der attraktiven Wäscherin an der Waschrumpel, bevor ich den tatort verlassen musste. Mit ungewaschener Wäsche im Bike-Messenger-Rucksack.

Beim nachmittäglichen Prüfbesuch traf ich zwei Männer an, die mit Reparaturversuchen beschäftigt waren. Auf meine Nachfrage, ob der Einbruchsversuch zum Ziel geführt hatte: „Nein – aber ordentlicher Schaden halt!“

Mein Vater hatte im 9. Bezirk in der Sechschimmelgasse 13 eine Münzwäscherei betrieben. Da sollte ich mich mal drübertrauen. . .

Early morning surprise in the wonderful laundromat / Vienna | AT · 2023 (© PP · # 2779 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) This morning, very early, when I wanted to check at the pay machine which of the machines were not stigmatized as “out of order”, I noticed that it would be difficult to do would put money in the slot. Someone (M/F/D) obviously wanted to use a crowbar or compressed air frame to get to the money container at night or early in the morning. Attempts to pay without cash were also not accepted. I caught a glimpse of the attractive laundress’s blue eyes before leaving the crime scene. With unwashed laundry in a bike messenger backpack.
During the afternoon inspection visit, I found two men trying to repair it. When I asked whether the attempted break-in had been successful: “No – but there was serious damage!”

My father ran a laundromat in the 9th district at 13 Sixchimmelgasse. I should have faith in that. . .
