Der Traum von den Weizenfeldern auf den Champs-Elysees in Paris (als Abwechslung zu den Militärparaden am 14. Juli) Paris | FR · 1990 (© PP · # 2382 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Heute nacht träumte ich besonders intensiv: zum Einen von der Ausstellungshalle der Vienna Secession, zum anderen von Weizenfeldern auf der Prachtstraße der französischen Hauptstadt, die am Place de la Concorde beginnt und am Place Charles-de-Gaulle mit dem Arc de Triomphe de l’Étoile endet. Beide Trauminhalte nicht wirklich überraschend, denn einerseits arbeite ich an einem Video über einen Künstler, der 1983 und 1990 in der Wiener Secession ausstellte – dort möchte ich in der kommenden Woche Aufnahmen machen, zum Anderen waren bei dem Konvolut an Dias, die ich kürzlich wieder bei cyberlab verscannen ließ, auch drei Fotos von Weizenfeldern auf den Champs-Elysees, die ich im Mai 1990 machte. Mit beträchtlichem Aufwand wurde damals ein langer Abschnitt für wenige Tage in ländliche Felder verwandelt, mit Erntewägen und bäuerlicher Staffage. Wie eine kurze Recherche ergab, werden immer wieder zu Pfingsten in Paris zum Tag der Artenvielfalt Pflanzen und Wiesen auf dieser Aufmarschstraße, die von teuren Geschäften gesäumt wird, „gepflanzt“.

Die Pariser Bürgermeisterin Anne Hidalgo hat am im Jänner 2021 grünes Licht für ein millionenschweres Verkehrsprojekt gegeben: „Paris verwandelt Prachtstraße in „Garten“. Dadurch sollen die Champs-Elysees, die berühmteste Prachtstraße der französischen Hauptstadt, in einen „außergewöhnlichen Garten“ verwandelt werden…Das Gebiet rund um die legendäre „Allee der elysischen (paradiesisch, Anm.) Felder“, wie der Straßenname ins Deutsche übersetzt lautet, bestand ursprünglich aus Feldern und Gärten. . . “ (s. link orf.at)

Ich halte das für eine großartige Vision und einen ausgezeichneten Plan.

In January 2021, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo gave the green light for a transport project worth millions: “Paris is turning a boulevard into a “garden”. This is intended to transform the Champs-Elysees, the French capital’s most famous boulevard, into an “extraordinary garden”… The area around the legendary “Avenue of the Elysian (paradise, n.m.) I think that is a great vision and an excellent plan.
