„Perseverance“ am Mars, Rollator auf der Erde. Eh super! Berlin | DE; Langwies, Wien | AT · 2011–2020 (© PP · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Schon toll: Der Mars-Rover „Perseverance“ („Durchhaltevermögen“) hat seine erste Tour auf dem Mars erfolgreich hinter sich gebracht. Nach NASA-Angaben legte das Fahrzeug zwei Wochen nach seiner Landung auf dem Roten Planeten eine Strecke von 6,5 Metern zurück – und brauchte dafür gut 33 Minuten. Ich bin ja Raumfahrt-Experte & -Begeisterter der ersten Stunde, war bei der Mondlandung 1969 LIVE dabei („Ein großer bzw. kleiner Schritt für . . “ etc.) und wenn ich an Wernher von Braun, den deutschen „Vater“ der US-Raumfahrt denke, fällt mir sofort ein, dass dieser führend an der Entwicklung der V2-Raketen des NS-Terror-Regimes beteiligt war, mit denen London im „Blitzkrieg“ bombardiert wurde.

„Perseverance“ ist ja auch in Sachen „Klima“ unterwegs – allerdings gemeint ist das Klima am Mars – nicht das auf der Erde, wo möglicherweise bald marsähnliche Zustände herrschen werden. „Die Mission ist Teil des Mars Exploration Program der NASA. Perseverance soll Marsgestein im Hinblick auf Biosignaturen, geologische Prozesse und die geologische Geschichte des Planeten genauer untersuchen, um so unter anderem Erkenntnisse über etwaiges Leben auf dem Mars zu gewinnen. Außerdem soll der 2,5 Milliarden US-Dollar teure Rover das Klima auf dem Planeten untersuchen. Die Mission dient auch der Vorbereitung eines bemannten Marsflugs. So wird der Rover testweise Kohlenstoffdioxid in Sauerstoff umwandeln und diese Ergebnisse analysieren. . . “

Ein schönes Beispiel für die unpackbaren Widersprüche des ungebremsten Kapitalismus – anders kann ich das für mich nicht ausdrücken: Klimaforschung auf dem Mars um 2,5 Milliarden US-Dollar, während die Atmosphäre auf der Erde kippt und weltweit erstmals mehr als 70 Millionen Menschen auf der Flucht sind laut UNHCR.

„Genf/Wien – Während die Zahl der Asylsuchenden in Österreich weiter deutlich sinkt, hat das UN-Flüchtlingshochkommissariat UNHCR 2018 weltweit zum ersten Mal mehr als 70 Millionen Menschen auf der Flucht gezählt.

Der jährliche UNHCR-Statistik-Bericht „Global Trends“ zeigt, dass rund 70,8 Millionen Menschen auf der Flucht sind. Das sind 2,3 Millionen mehr als ein Jahr zuvor – und doppelt so viele wie vor 20 Jahren.

Zum Vergleich: Die Zahl der weltweit Vertriebenen übersteigt die der EinwohnerInnen Frankreichs oder Großbritanniens deutlich.

Insgesamt sind die Zahlen außerdem konservativ angenommen, vor allem, weil das Ausmaß der Krise in Venezuela nur teilweise abgebildet wird. Mittlerweile haben, laut Aufnahmeländern, rund vier Millionen VenezolanerInnen das Land verlassen und Venezuela zählt mittlerweile zu den größten Vertreibungskrisen. Obwohl die Mehrheit der Geflüchteten internationalen Flüchtlingsschutz braucht, haben bis jetzt erst rund eine halbe Million Menschen um Asyl angesucht. . .“

According to NASA, the vehicle covered a distance of 6.5 meters two weeks after landing on the Red Planet – and took a good 33 minutes. A fine example of the unpackable contradictions of unrestrained capitalism – I can’t express it any other way: Climate research on Mars for 2.5 billion US dollars, while the atmosphere on earth is tilting and for the first time more than 70 million people are fleeing on Earth according to UNHCR.

Regardless of the coronavirus pandemic, according to insiders, the US border police arrested significantly more people attempting to enter illegally from Mexico in February.
