Bildgebende Diagnostik & Smashing Car Windows mit Pipilotti Rist. Bad Ischl, Wien | AT · 1985–2017 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Bei einem Tauchgang in die Tiefen des Ewigen Archivs auf der Suche nach Röntgenbildern bin ich auch auf ein Röntgen meines Schädels aus dem Jahr 1985 gestoßen, auf Bilder meiner entzündeten Lunge, nach einigem Herumscharren in den Untiefen der Wunschkennzeichen auch auf das XRAY-Wunschkennzeichen (warum „nur“ 73 und nicht zumindest 2 oder 3?) Das Panorama-Zahnröntgen ist übrigens nicht von meinem Gebiss. Jedenfalls kam mir dann der Gedanke, dass Bildende Künstler*innen, Maler*innen, Zeichner*innen, Fotograf*innen, Filmer*innen etc. ja auch eine Art von bildgebender Diagnostik machen – eine Darstellung ihrer Wahrnehmung, ein Bild der Welt – im Großen und Kleinen. Dann gings weiter zur Arbeit der großartigen schweizer Video-Künstlerin Pipilotti Rist, die ein Video produziert hatte mit Aufnahmen, die mit einer Miniaturoptik für Darmspiegelungen gemacht wurden. Bei weiteren Recherchen bin ich dann auf ein Videointerview gestoßen, in dem sie über eine ihrer bekanntesten Arbeiten gesprochen hat, in dem eine Frau mit einer Blume Autoscheiben zertrümmert! Fand ich sehr interessant.

Bad Ischl, Vienna | AT · 1985–2017 (© PP · Eternal Archives) During a dive into the depths of the Eternal Archive in search of X-ray images, I also came across an X-ray of my skull from 1985, pictures of my inflamed lungs, after some pawing around in the shallows of the license plates on the XRAY license plate (why “only” 73 and not at least 2 or 3?) The panoramic dental X-ray is not from my teeth, by the way. In any case, it occurred to me that visual artists, painters, illustrators, photographers, filmmakers etc. also do some kind of diagnostic imaging – a representation of their perception, a picture of the world – in Big and small. Then we went to work by the great Swiss video artist Pipilotti Rist, who had produced a video with recordings made with miniature optics for colonoscopy. During further research I came across a video interview in which she spoke about one of her most famous works, in which a woman with a flower smashed car windows! I found it very interesting.
