Langwies, Wien | AT · 1966–2021 (© PP · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Der militärisch-industrielle Komplex startet mit enormem Aufwand Marsexpeditionen, um von den Probleme auf der Welt abzulenken und noch mehr Kohle für die shareholders anzuhäufen – ich war jedenfalls live – also lebend – dabei, als das Raumschiff Orion in die Weiten des Alls in ferne Zukunft abhob. Abgesehen von einer eingebrannten Erinnerung blieb mir auch noch ein kostbares Quartett, um das mich alle beneiden und das ich demnächst in ebay mit einem Startpreis von 9.900 € anbieten werde. War allerdings überrascht, dass ich beim Recherchieren lesen musste, dass die Serie damals in Schwarz-Weiß war – das ständige Spielen mit den farbigen Karten hat meine Erinnerung verfälscht.

Raumpatrouille – Die phantastischen Abenteuer des Raumschiffes Orion (häufig auch als Raumschiff Orion, in neueren Videoausgaben auch als Raumpatrouille Orion bezeichnet) ist die erste und bekannteste deutsche Science-Fiction-Fernsehserie. Sie wurde ab dem 17. September 1966 vierzehntäglich samstagabends nach der Tagesschau von der ARD in sieben Teilen ausgestrahlt. Die Schwarz-Weiß-Serie hat seit Jahrzehnten Kultcharakter. Sie erreichte bei der Erstausstrahlung in der ARD Einschaltquoten von bis zu 56 % und wurde deshalb oft als Straßenfeger bezeichnet. In Deutschland wurde die Serie im Deutschen Fernsehen 1968 und 1975 sowie von verschiedenen Regionalsendern der ARD, so vom WDR 1973 und 1987, dem NDR Fernsehen, hr-fernsehen und dem damaligen Südwest 3 sowie vom Privatsender Sat.1 bis 1999 insgesamt 20 Mal wiederholt.

Apart from a burned-in memory, I also had a precious quartet that everyone envies me for and that I will soon be offering on ebay with a starting price of € 9,900. However, I was surprised that while doing research I had to read that the series was in black and white at the time – the constant playing with the colored cards falsified my memory.

Raumpatrouille – The Fantastic Adventures of the Spaceship Orion (often also referred to as Raumschiff Orion, in more recent video editions also called Raumpatrouille Orion) is the first and best-known German science fiction television series. From September 17, 1966, it was broadcast on Saturday evenings fortnightly after the ARD’s Tagesschau in seven parts. The black and white series has enjoyed cult status for decades. When it was first broadcast on ARD, it achieved ratings of up to 56% and was therefore often referred to as a street sweeper. In Germany, the series was repeated a total of 20 times on German television in 1968 and 1975 as well as by various regional broadcasters of the ARD, such as WDR 1973 and 1987, NDR television, hr-fernsehen and the then Südwest 3 as well as the private broadcaster Sat.1 until 1999.
