Ordnen und geordnet werden / Putting in Order and Being Put in Order. Vorchdorf | AT · 2019 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Department: Polizei-Tellerkappen bzw. -Schirmmützen. Auswahlkriterium: Länder, in denen ich noch nie war (und die ich auch voraussichtlich bis zu meinem Lebensende nicht mehr besuchen werde). Im Frühsommer 1989 wollte ich am Grenzübergang Canada/USA zumindest den Ton und die Gespräche aufzeichnen und hatte die ziemlich große Sony-Hi8 Videokamera mit dem Objektiv nach unten zeigend und mit Deckel verschlossen an der Schulter hängend, eingeschalten. Was ich aber nicht bedacht hatte: während der Aufnahme leuchtete bzw. blinkte eine kleine, rote Leuchtdiode. Einem der amerikanischen Grenzpolizisten fiel das auf, er holte mich aus der Reihe der Wartenden, eine längere Befragung folgte und ich musste die gesamte Aufzeichnung löschen.

Die Polizei-Tellerkappen bzw. -Schirmmützen wurden im Motorrad-Museum Vorchdorf gesehen und mit Erlaubnis fotografiert. Im Juli 2019 Brand am Museumsdach, liegt etwas abseits – nichtsdestotrotz: Besuchsempfehlung!

Selection criteria: Countries where I have never been (and which I will probably not visit until the end of my life). In the early summer of 1989, I wanted to at the border crossing Canada / USA record at least the sound and the conversations and had the fairly large Sony Hi8 video camera with the lens pointing down and hanging closed with a lid on the shoulder turned on. What I had not considered: during the recording lit or blinked a small red LED. One of the American border guards noticed this, he pulled me out of line of the waiting, followed by a longer questioning and I had to delete the entire record.

The police caps and caps were seen in Motorcycle Museum Vorchdorf and photographed with permission. In July 2019 fire on the museum roof, is a bit off – nevertheless, visitation recommendation!
