Lost in Translation – Die schnelle Nummer. Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo | JP; Wien | AT · 2024–2025 (© PP · # 3500 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Frühmorgens Teile des Films „Lost in Translation“ von Sofia Coppola auf einem 13” Macbook angeschaut, der in Tokyo spielt und meiner Meinung nach eine typisch westliche, US-Amerikanische Stereotypie über Japan ist. Die Frage ist natürlich, was meine eigenen 5.052 Fotos, darunter 163 Videos sind, welche Sichtweise diese manifestieren?

Großes Foto links: Ein Standbild der Titelsequenz des Videos „FOCUS ART CARINTHIA · A Greeting from the Art World of Carinthia/Austria“, das ich im Auftrag der Kulturstiftung Kärnten und von Land Kärnten Kultur mit Kurzsequenzen über die Künstler*innen Cornelius Kolig, Maria Lassnig, Meina Schellander und Herwig Turk für den Österreich Pavillon der EXPO 2025 in Osaka/Japan, produzierte.

Lost in Translation – The Quickie. Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo | JP; Vienna | AT · 2024–2025 (© PP · # 3500 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Early in the morning, I watched parts of Sofia Coppola’s film ‘Lost in Translation’ on a 13″ Macbook. The film is set in Tokyo and, in my opinion, is a typical Western, American stereotype of Japan. The question is, of course, what perspective do my own 5,052 photos, including 163 videos, manifest?
