International E-Scooter Conspiracy: Wo sind jetzt die Toten Hosen mit „Steh auf, wenn Du am Boden bist“? Brussel / Bruxelles | BE; Paris | FR; Wien | AT · 2019–2023 (© PP · # 2990 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Woher kommen sie? Wohin fahren sie? Wer kümmert sich um sie, wer liebt sie? Wer tauscht ihnen die Batterien aus, wer führt sie spazieren? Wer tröstet sie, wenn sie am Boden liegen? Wer ruft ihnen zu, wer singt ihnen vor: „Steh auf, wenn Du am Boden bist“?

Auch fünf Jahre nach der Besichtigung bin ich immer noch unschlüssig: handelte es sich um das Ergebnis eines Weltrekordversuches für den Eintrag ins G-Book of Worldrecords – Wieviel E-Scooter passen in eine Telefonzelle – um ein Training im Vorbeigehen sozusagen, zum Aufwärmen? Oder war’s doch eine temporäre Skulptur im öffentlichen Raum? Eine Aktion der Spaßguerilla? Sehr beachtlich fand bzw. finde ich immer noch die sehr überlegte Farbgestaltung – sowohl „hive-Scooter“ als auch Corporate-Color der Telefonzelle in erhebendem Maigrün! A propos – was ist eigentlich aus den „hive-Scootern“ geworden? Die sind ja schon wieder verschwunden. Auf welchem Schrottplatz bzw. in welchem Landfill stauen sie sich jetzt?

Who changes their batteries, who takes them for a walk? Who comforts them when they are lying on the ground? Who calls out to them, who sings to them: “Get up when you’re down”?

Even five years after the visit, I am still undecided: was it the result of a world record attempt for an entry in the G-Book of World Records – how many e-scooters fit in a phone box – a training session in passing, so to speak, as a warm-up? Or was it a temporary sculpture in a public space? A fun guerrilla action? I found or still find the very thoughtful colour scheme very remarkable – both the “hive scooter” and the corporate colour of the telephone box in uplifting May green! Speaking of which – what has actually happened to the “hive scooters”? They’ve already disappeared again. Which scrapyard or landfill are they now stowed away in?
