Ich bin dann mal unsichtbar! Böse Miene zum bösen Spiel machen. Amsterdam | NL; Linz, Wien | AT · 2002–2022 (© PP · # 2417 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Ich bin ein eitler Mann und möchte auch auf Überwachungs-Monitoren und in Gesichtserkennungs-Programmen möglichst gut rüberkommen – aber das wird immer schwieriger. Ich werde unaufhaltsam älter und deformierter und auch die Qualität mancher Monitore bzw. Displays lässt stark zu wünschen über. Das große Bild von mir (gr. Foto rechts) musste ich erst vor wenigen Tagen in Amsterdam sehen: Der Überwachungsmonitor zeigte extreme Fehlfarben und war noch dazu in der x-Achse gestaucht, entsprechend war das Ergebnis äußerst mangelhaft. Bin total erschrocken! Ich werde mich daher in Zukunft unsichtbar machen müssen, das geht ja an sich ganz einfach: Ich brauche nur ein entsprechendes Muster in die Kamera halten (siehe links unten) und schon wird mein Gesicht verpixelt! (unten mittig) Saugut! (Funktioniert allerdings nur, wenn in allen Überwachungs-/Handy-Kameras eine entsprechende Software werkseitig aufgespielt wurde. Bin aber sicher, dass das passieren wird. Oder?

Als „Facial Coding“ wird die Messung menschlicher Emotionen anhand der Mimik bezeichnet. Computeralgorithmen extrahieren die Hauptmerkmale des Gesichts – wie Mund oder Augenbrauen – und analysieren die Bewegung, Form und Struktur dieser Bereiche. Die Analysedaten werden verschiedenen Kategorien wie Glück, Traurigkeit, Wut und anderen Gefühlen zugeordnet. Eingesetzt werden diese Systeme zum Beispiel im Marktforschungsbereich, etwa um die Reaktionen von Menschen auf visuelle Reize zu untersuchen.

I’m getting older and more deformed and the quality of some monitors and displays leaves a lot to be desired. I only had to see the large picture of myself (large photo on the right) a few days ago in Amsterdam: The surveillance monitor showed extremely wrong colors and was also compressed in the x-axis, so the result was extremely poor. I’m totally scared! I will therefore have to make myself invisible in the future, it’s actually very easy: I just need to hold a corresponding pattern in the camera (see bottom left) and my face will be pixelated! (bottom center) Awesome! (However, it only works if all surveillance/cell phone cameras have the appropriate software installed at the factory. But I’m sure that will happen. Or?

“Facial coding” is the measurement of human emotions based on facial expressions. Computer algorithms extract the main features of the face – like the mouth or eyebrows – and analyze the movement, shape and structure of these areas. The analysis data is assigned to different categories such as happiness, sadness, anger and other feelings. These systems are used in market research, for example, to examine people’s reactions to visual stimuli.
