Moore Henry, * 30. Juli 1898 Castleford, Yorkshire, Großbritannien † 31. August 1986 Berry Green, Much Hadham, Großbritannien, Bildhauer. Die einzige Skulptur Moores, die in Wien öffentlich Aufstellung fand, ist jene im (1978 angelegten) Wasserbecken vor der Karlskirche („Hill arches"; 26. April 1978). Der Künstler machte sie der Stadt Wien zum Geschenk. (wien.gv)

Das untere mittige Bild zeigt den Aufbau von „Hypotopia“ (2014) – einem Projekt der TU Wien, bei dem versucht wurde, zu veranschaulichen, wieviele Planungsprojekte, Wohnungen, öffentliche Institutionen um die bei der „Hypo Alpe-Adria“ verlorenen Milliarden realisiert werden hätten können: „Wie kann ein greifbarer Maßstab zu einer Summe von 19 Milliarden Euro hergestellt werden?

In welcher Proportionalität steht dieses Geld zu Räumen, in denen wir leben?

Wie groß ist eine Stadt, die man um diese Summe bauen könnte?“

Moore Henry, born July 30, 1898 Castleford, Yorkshire, United Kingdom † August 31, 1986 Berry Green, Much Hadham, UK, Sculptor. Moores’ only sculpture, which was publicly exhibited in Vienna, is that in the (1978) water basin in front of the Karlskirche (“Hill arches”, April 26, 1978), which the artist made a gift to the city of Vienna (wien.gv).
The lower middle picture shows the structure of “Hypotopia” (2014) – a project of the Vienna University of Technology, which tried to illustrate how many planning projects, apartments, public institutions are realized by the billions lost in the “Hypo Alpe-Adria” could have: “How can a tangible scale to a sum of 19 billion euros are produced?
In which proportionality does this money belong to the spaces in which we live?
How big is a city that could be built for this amount of money?“
