Dank Walter Gröbchens FB-Technik-Fanzine Maschinenraum wurde ich also gestern auf einen Start bzw eine Rückkehr („Re-entry“) einer Space X-Rakete aufmerksam (link s.u.): Die Aufzeichnung einer Live-Übertragung mit enthusmiasiertem Kommentar zweier Moderatorinnen und großteils hyperventilierenden Textbotschaften der zahlreichen Zuschauer*innen: „This is the third freaking time I’ve watched this and I’m still sitting here gobsmacked with tears in my eyes!!!!!“ (Dies ist das dritte verdammte Mal, dass ich mir das ansehe, und ich sitze immer noch sprachlos mit Tränen in den Augen!!!!!) oder „More thrilling than the biggest hollywood film this year“ (Spannender als der größte Hollywoodfilm des Jahres) uva.

Ich: begeisterter, atemloser Zuseher der SW-Übertragung der ersten Mondlandung am 20. Juli 1969. Schemenhafte, immer wieder unterbrochene Bilder – gut, wir hatten sowies „nur“ einen SW-Fernseher. War früh am Morgen. Kommentar der heimischen Raumfahrtexperten. Ich war dabei. Immer wieder große Berichte über Wernher von Braun – den „Vater“ der US-Raumfahrt. Saturn, Mercury-Apollo-Projekte und Raketen. Große Berichte im LIFE-Magazin, in der BUNTEN, in den Magazinen des bei uns abonnierten „Lesezirkels“.
Erst deutlich später dann tauchten in meinem Universum andere Informationen auf:
„Wernher Magnus Maximilian Freiherr von Braun (* 23. März 1912 in Wirsitz, Provinz Posen, Königreich Preußen, Deutsches Reich; † 16. Juni 1977 in Alexandria, Virginia, USA) war als deutscher und später US-amerikanischer Raketenpionier Wegbereiter der Raketenwaffen und der Raumfahrt. Von Braun wurde als Technischer Direktor der Heeresversuchsanstalt Peenemünde der ersten funktionstüchtigen Flüssigkeitsrakete Aggregat 4 („V2“) in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus sowie der späteren leitenden Tätigkeit beim Bau von Trägerraketen für die NASA-Missionen berühmt. Me: an enthusiastic, breathless viewer of the black-and-white broadcast of the first moon landing on 20 July 1969. Shadowy, repeatedly interrupted images – well, we ‘only’ had a black-and-white TV anyway. It was early in the morning. Commentary from the local space experts. I was there. Again and again great reports about Wernher von Braun – the ‘father’ of US space travel. Saturn, Mercury-Apollo projects and rockets. Big reports in LIFE magazine, in BUNTEN, in the magazines of the ‘Lesezirkel’, which we subscribed to.
It wasn’t until much later that other information appeared in my universe:
