Frühe Aufnahmen im „Paradies“ von Cornelius Kolig – eine Rekonstruktion. Vorderberg | AT · 1991 (Fotos © B. Lemersleitner · Tableau © PP · # 2688 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Vor einigen Tagen schickte mir Bernhard Lemersleitner, ein langjähriger Freund, ein Foto (links) mit der Frage, ob ich das sei? Ich musste mir das Bild genauer anschauen: Das Stativ war ein „Gitzo-Stativ“, so eines hatte ich 1990 in Paris gekauft und seither in Verwendung, Gürtel und Schuhe kamen mir bekannt vor, der Typ auch – aber der war schlank, hatte volles Haar. Aber schließlich musste ich mich mir selbst zu erkennen geben: Der Mann im sogenannten „verlorenen Profil“ mit dem Auge am Sucher der Kamera: dieser Mann war ich selber, halt vor mehr als 30 Jahren. Unglaublich. Aufregend. Bernhard übergab mir schließlich alle Negativstreifen dieses Filmes, die ich bei cyberlab verscannen ließ. Darauf 18 Aufnahmen, die er etwa 1991 oder 1992 bei einem gemeinsamen Besuch in der weitläufigen Anlage, die Cornelius Kolig seit 1979 in Vorderberg in Kärnten begonnen hatte, zu errichten. Für mich eine Sensation, Fotos eines frühen Zustandes eines Projektes zu sehen, von dem ich selbst erstmals im Jahr 1981 gehört und Modelle gesehen hatte.

Über das Koligsche „Paradies“ habe ich sooft geschrieben und soviele Tableaux veröffentlicht, dass ich für Interessierte nur auf den untenstehenden Link auf die Website des Ewigen Archivs mit derzeit 105 Tableaux zum Thema verweise.

Interessant ist der Vergleich des Zustandes im Jahr 1991/92 mit der Weiterentwicklung und Veränderung, wie sie in meinem Video „Cornelius Kolig führt durchs Paradies“ aus dem Jahr 2022 dokumentiert ist, das nur wenige Monate vor dem Tod des Künstlers Anfang November 2022 fertiggestellt worden war.

Nur: WO sind die Fotos, die ICH selbst damals aufgenommen hatte?

I had to take a closer look at the picture: the tripod was a “Gitzo tripod”, I had bought one of those in Paris in 1990 and have been using it ever since, the belt and shoes looked familiar to me, as did the guy – but he was slim and had full Hair. But in the end I had to identify myself: the man in the so-called “lost profile” with his eye on the camera viewfinder: this man was me, more than 30 years ago. Incredible. Exciting. Bernhard finally gave me all the negative strips of this film, which I had cyberlab scan. Then 18 photos that he made around 1991 or 1992 during a joint visit to the extensive complex that Cornelius Kolig had begun in Vorderberg in Carinthia in 1979. It was a sensation for me to see photos of an early stage of a project that I first heard about and saw models of in 1981.
I have written so often and published so many tableaux about Kolig’s “Paradise” that I refer those who are interested to the link below to the website of the Eternal Archives, which currently has 105 tableaux on the subject.
It is interesting to compare the situation in 1991/92 with the further development and change, as documented in my video “Cornelius Kolig leads through paradise” from 2022, which was completed just a few months before the artist’s death in early November 2022 was.
