Das „Narziss-Fotostudio“ von Götz Bury – formerly known as „Traumfabrik“. Wien | AT · 2002–2008 (Fotos obere Reihe © Götz Bury; © PP · # 3518 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Bin etwas aufgeregt, an der Grenze zu freudig aufgedreht: Heute soll der Schnitt an meinem Film über den experimentellen Bildhauer und Performer Götz Bury beginnen! Habe ich das gedrehte Material ausreichend gesichtet und transkribiert? Habe ich die vielen, teils vor vielen Jahren prophylaktisch aufgenommenen Videoclips und die fast 2.000 Fotos wirklich gut durchgeschaut, digital durchgeblättert, die passende Auswahl getroffen? Ein Abschnitt des geplanten Films wird sicherlich das „Narziss-Fotostudio“ sein, in dem ich öfter zu Gast war. Von Götz Bury im Jahr 2002 als „Traumfabrik“ gegründet mit zahlreichen, wunderbaren Möglichkeiten, sich und sein Leben im Luxus und stylisch zu inszenieren. An das linke Bild, bei dem ich eine Flasche (teuersten) Sprudel in die Kamera halte und furchtlos neben einem schnappendem Hai stehe, kann ich mich gut erinnern, dass Götz mich aber mit meinem Rolls Royce und einer Frau, die einer bekannten Fernseh-Moderatorin (die seit 2021 Produktionen von FPÖ-TV moderiert) ähnlich schaut, fotografiert hatte – das hatte ich völlig vergessen. In der Mitte in kurzer Hose, allerdings ohne T-Shirt (in der Südsee isses heiß, sehr heiß), an der rechten Hand eine sportliche Partnerin, sehr energetisch aufgeladen, in der Linken eine massive Keule. Ich weiß mich durchzuschlagen, ich lasse mir nichts gefallen: Alles Recht dem Stärkeren! Unser Gepard „Tommie“ wartet brav, hinter uns eine Palme und das unendliche, türkise Meer. Ein Traum, ein Leben! Bin immer wieder sehr zufrieden – nur die Uhr, die ich am Handgelenk trage, die wurde mir bei einem Wohnungseinbruch bald nach dem Fototermin gestohlen.

Das Jüngste Gericht kann kommen – hier sind die Beweisfotos für (m)ein geglücktes Leben. Erstaunlich, dass ich auf allen drei Bildern eine Keule in Händen halte! Was das wohl zu bedeuten hat? Ich nehme die Fotos jedenfalls als Beweis, dass ich „es“ geschafft habe, dass ich ein spannendes, erfolgreiches, kämpferisches Leben geführt habe. („Ironie-smiley hier einfügen ;-)

Vienna | AT · 2002–2008 (Photos top row © Götz Bury; © PP · # 3518 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) I’m a little excited, bordering on joyfully hyper: Today, editing is set to begin on my film about the experimental sculptor and performer Götz Bury! Have I reviewed and transcribed the footage sufficiently? Have I really looked through all the video clips, some of which were recorded prophylactically many years ago, and the almost 2,000 photos, digitally leafed through them, and made the right selection? One section of the planned film will certainly be the ‘Narcissus Photo Studio,’ where I was a frequent guest. Founded by Götz Bury in 2002 as a ‘dream factory’ with numerous wonderful opportunities to stage oneself and one’s life in luxury and style. I remember well the left-hand picture, in which I hold a bottle of (most expensive) sparkling water in front of the camera and standing fearlessly next to a snapping shark, but I remember well that Götz had photographed me with my Rolls Royce and a woman who looks like a well-known television presenter (who has been presenting FPÖ-TV productions since 2021) – I had completely forgotten that. In the middle, wearing shorts but no T-shirt (it’s hot, very hot in the South Seas), on my right hand a sporty partner, very energetically charged, in my left hand a massive club. I know how to get by, I don’t put up with anything: might makes right! Our cheetah ‘Tommie’ waits patiently, behind us a palm tree and the endless turquoise sea. A dream, a life! I am always very satisfied – only the watch I wear on my wrist was stolen during a burglary shortly after the photo shoot.

The Last Judgement can come – here are the photos proving my successful life. Amazing that I’m holding a club in my hands in all three pictures! I wonder what that means? In any case, I take the photos as proof that I have ‘made it’, that I have led an exciting, successful, combative life. (Insert irony smiley here 😉
