Mein erster eigener Computer war ein Mac-Powerbook 100 – SW, ca 16 MB RAM und 100 MB Harddisk, hat 55.000 Schillinge gekostet, also rund 4.000,- Euro. Ich denke, dass ich seither rund 100.000 Euro für Computer, Peripherie, Software etc. ausgegeben habe. 2010 habe ich erstmals einige Computer und Peripherie im Wert von rund 50.000,- Euro auf einem Schrottplatz „verschrottet“. Gestern warens eher Kabel, Laufwerke, „gecrashte“ Festplatten. (3. Foto oben). Ich kann nur hoffen, dass die Kabel nicht in Ghana oder sonstwo in Afrika landen, wo die Plastikummantelung von Kindern abgebrannt wird, um die Kupferdrähte um wenig Geld verkaufen zu können – wobei ich nicht annehme, dass die meiner Meinung nach sehr gut organisierten städtischen Müllplätze den Schrott nach Afrika exportieren.

Yesterday was more like cables, drives, “crashed” hard drives. (3rd photo above). I can only hope that the cables do not end up in Ghana or anywhere else in Africa, where the plastic sheathing of children is burned to sell the copper wires for little money – although I do not suppose that I think the very well-organized municipal garbage dumps export the scrap to Africa.
