Die Bunte Schule in Simmering. Wien | AT · 1976/77 – 2017 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Das Jugendzentrum, in dem ich vor rund 40 Jahren 1 x pro Woche abends arbeitete, ist im Gebäude der „Bunten Schule“, einer Volksschule in einer damals neu gebauten großen Stadtrand-Wohnsiedlung. Die SW-Fotos im linken Teil des Tableaus sind Frames aus einem Film, den die Jugendlichen damals mit meiner Normal-8 mm Kamera drehten. Im Mai 2017 war ich wieder in der Pantucekgasse – das Jugendzentrum und natürlich auch die Schule gibt es nach wie vor, auf der damals unverbauten Straßenseite sind weitere Wohnblöcke dazu gekommen. Ein Mitarbeiter des „Si:Ju“ (Simmeringer Jugendzentrums) erzählte im kurzen Gespräch, dass das Jugendzentrum nach wie vor sehr frequentiert sei, viele Jugendliche aus wenig finanzstarken Verhältnissen, „viele mit Migrations- bzw. Flucht-Hintergrund“.
