Bezahlen in Zeiten des Corona-Viruses (und der Gesichtserkennung) – kann das so einfach sein? Linz, Wien | AT · 2002–2020 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) „Meine“ Bank Austria, Member of UniCredit (formerly known as Zentralsparkasse bzw. as Bank Austria) meint: „Bezahlen kann so einfach sein. Mit Apple Pay.“ mit Face ID am Handy. Ein freundlich lächelnder junger Mann, möglicherweise ein begabter Sportsfreund, hält ein nach vorne geneigtes Mobiltelefon. Er wirkt weitgehend entspannt, vielleicht eine kleine Spur skeptisch. Auf dem Display ist bei genauerem Hinsehen ein Kreis mit grünem Häkchen und „Fertig“ zu sehen. Vermutlich hat der Werbevertrag, den sein Sportsmarketing-Manager mit der Bank abgeschlossen hat, ausreichend Kohle in die Kasse gespült.
Ich bin eine kleine Spur unsicher: Mit Apple Pay? Seit mehr als 20 Jahrzehnten habe ich an die Firma Apple für Computer und Peripherie ein Vermögen bezahlt – die Dinger hatten eine Funktionsdauer von jeweils wenigen Jahren. Aber: sei’s drum.
Social Distancing ist angesagt – damit die Gesichtserkennung im Falle des Falles funktioniert, trainiere ich eifrig dafür und versuche, die jeweiligen Algorithmen gut auf mich einzuschulen: Damit dann das Bezahlen bei mir auch so einfach funkt. Vorausgesetzt mein Konto ist ausreichend gedeckt und ich trage keine Gesichtsmaske natürlich.
