Kurzer Bericht vom Volksstimme-Fest: „Wir geben den Widerstandskämpfer*innen ihre Namen zurück“. Nie wieder Faschismus! Nie wieder Krieg! Wien | AT · 2021 (© PP · # 2221 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Fast hätte ich’s in meiner selbstgewählten Informations-Klausur übersehen: Volksstimme-Fest ist wieder! (war’s letztes Jahr?) Nur zum Update – zur Rekapitulation: Das Volksstimme-Fest (VS-Fest) ist das alljährliche Fest der KPÖ im Prater auf der Jesuitenwiese(!), benannt nach der in früheren Zeitaltern täglich erschienenen Zeitung „Volksstimme“. Die KPÖ gibt’s jetzt irgendwie nicht mehr, oder? jedenfalls scheint sie sich gemorpht haben zu LINK*S – genau kann ich keine Auskunft geben. Nachdem seit Jahrzehnten jedes Detail meines Lebens mit oder ohne mein Zutun akten- bzw. datenkundig ist, ist es Wurscht, Blunzn etc, dass ich hier bekenne: wenn ich’s nicht vergesse, gehe ich jedes Jahr zum VS-Fest, seit vielen Jahren. Schon auch aus Interesse nach dem Stand der Dinge, aber auch aus Forschungs-/Dokumentations-/Fest-Gründen. Erstaunlicherweise erweisen sich im September immer Massen am KPÖ-Fest interessiert, ebendiese Massen manifestieren sich dann allerdings nicht am Wahltag.

Was mir heuer aufgefallen ist, was mich interessiert hat, dass ich auch in ein Zelt mit einer Lesung gegangen bin: Die Aktion des KZ Verband/VdA Wien „Wir geben den Widerstandskämpfer*innen ihre Namen zurück“. Ein kleiner Einschnitt im Fest, ein immer wichtiges Innehalten, ein Gedenken. Im Zelt die Lesung der Biographie einer jungen Wiener Widerstandskämpferin. Einige Plakate vor dem Zelt. Zumindest hier weitergereicht auf FB.

Vienna | AT · 2021 (© PP · # 2221 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) I almost overlooked it in my self-chosen information exam: Volksstimme festival is again! (Was it last year?) Just for an update – to recap: The Volksstimme-Fest (VS-Fest) is the annual festival of the KPÖ in the Prater on the Jesuitenwiese (!), named after the newspaper “Volksstimme” that was published daily in earlier times. Somehow the KPÖ doesn’t exist anymore, right? in any case, it seems to have morphed to LINK * S – I can’t give you any information. After every detail of my life with or without my involvement has been knowledgeable about files or data for decades, it is sorrowful, blunted, etc. that I confess: if I don’t forget, I go to the VS festival every year, for many years. Already out of interest in the current state of affairs, but also for research / documentation / festival reasons. Amazingly, masses always turn out to be interested in the KPÖ festival in September, but these same masses do not manifest themselves on election day.

What struck me this year, what interested me, that I also went to a tent with a reading: The campaign by the VdA Vienna concentration camp association “We are giving the resistance fighters their names back”. A small turning point in the festival, an always important pause, a commemoration. In the tent a reading of the biography of a young Viennese resistance fighter. Some posters in front of the tent. At least here passed on to FB.
