Das mir wichtigste Bild fehlt / Missing the most important picture. Wien | AT · 2009 – 2016 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Diesen Teich in Schönbrunn habe ich das erste Mal etwa 1973 fotografiert, mit einer 6 x 6 Rolleiflex und Schwarz-Weiß Film. Den Film habe ich damals selbst entwickelt und einen „Abzug“ vom Negativ hergestellt. Ich kann mich an das gut Foto erinnern – den Filmstreifen und das Foto davon finde ich trotz langer Suche leider nicht mehr. Im Laufe der seither vergangenen Jahre habe ich den Teich – bzw. Brunnen – noch viele Male fotografiert, immer wieder denke ich an das fehlende Bild, das mir besonders wichtig wäre, weil es einen Zeitbogen erweitern bzw. für mich darstellen würde. Es ist eine „Wichtigkeit“, die angesichts „wirklicher Wichtigkeiten“ meines realen Lebens natürlich völlig bedeutungslos ist – mich aber zumindest momentweise immer wieder beschäftigt und zum Nachdenken bringt.

At that time I developed the film myself and made a “deduction” from the negative. I can remember the good photo – unfortunately I can’t find the filmstrip and the photo of it despite a long search. In the course of the past few years, I have photographed the pond – or fountain – many times, again and again I think of the missing picture that would be particularly important to me because it would expand a time sheet or represent it for me. It is an “importance” which, given the “real importance” of my real life, is of course completely meaningless – but at least for a moment I am always occupied and makes me think.
