Mein Übungsleiter war mit den Ergebnissen meiner Bemühungen am ersten Tag des „Lebens im Notprogramm“ gar nicht zufrieden. Ich müsse mich wesentlich mehr anstrengen, meinte er, sonst wird das nix. Neue Aufgabe: „Umfassende Recherche zur Produktion von Spiegeleiern unter besonderer Berücksichtigung digitaler Optionen, insbesondere des adäquaten Einsatzes von Apple Macintosh Powerbooks“. Los gehts. Selbstverständlich zuerst extensive Online-Suche auf den üblicherweise sehr ergiebigen Seiten der Kochgenoss*innen www.kochgenossen.at und bei Meisterköchin und Foodstylistin Elisabeth Fischer. Zu meiner Überraschung: alles mögliche zu finden, auch gut mit frischer Musik unterlegt – aber nichts, gar nichts zu „Apple & Ei“. Ganz auf mich selbst gestellt also das Anfang der 1990-er Jahre zu völlig absurdem Preis gekaufte „Powerbook 100“ abgestaubt (55.000 ÖS; 12 MB RAM; 120 MB Festplatte, SW-Bitmap-Display – Gr. Foto links) und unter Strom gesetzt. Das Display produzierte aber zunächst nicht ausreichend Hitze zum Braten, also musste ich mit einem Einlauf nachhelfen. Nach gezählten 6 Stunden dann allerdings ein perfektes Spiegelei! Dann doch ein schönes Ergebnis – gut Ding braucht Weile. Das adrette Anrichten dann auf der Platte zum „Spiegelei Huawei“ für das fällige Fotoshooting ging dann deutlich schneller!

Completely on my own, the “Powerbook 100” bought at the beginning of the 1990s at a completely absurd price (55,000 ÖS; 12 MB RAM; 120 MB hard disk, SW bitmap display – size photo on the left) and energized . The display didn’t produce enough heat to fry at first, so I had to help with an enema. After 6 hours, a perfect fried egg! Then a nice result – good things take time. The neat dressing on the plate for the “fried egg Huawei” for the due photo shoot then went much faster!
