So lebe ich in Australien – ich zeige Euch meine neue Heimat! (Eine Auswanderung bebildern mit den gefundenen Fotos eines Anderen) Australien · 1958 (Foto © N.N. · Tableau © PP · # 2174 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Also schauts her: So wohne und so lebe ich: Auf dem Tisch hab ich meine (gesparten?) Australischen Dollars in einer Reihe aufgelegt, die Blechdose mit den Cents und Vierteldollars geöffnet. Ist es viel? Kann/Soll ich Euch etwas schicken nach . . . . in Oberösterreich? Ich rauche jedenfalls nicht mehr AUSTRIA 3 sondern TEMPLE BAR, (beides ohne Filter) und rasiere mich mit PALMOLIVE LATHER (Rasierschaum) und putze mir die Zähne mit COLGATE (RIBBON?) DENTAL CREAM – die Packungen liegen am Sofa. Neben mir das Musikmöbel: Radio, Schallplattenspieler und großer Lautsprecher. So lebe ich und so schau ich aus.

Im Foto daneben stehe ich vor dem Schaufenster eines Einrichtungshauses – wenn bei Euch Sommer ist, ist’s hier ordentlich kalt – darum steht auf dem Schild „Warmth Week“.

Auf dem unteren Foto beim „Picknick“, bin mit meinem Auto (in die Outskirts von Sydney?) aufs Land gefahren, alles, was ich für eine Jause brauche im Kofferraum transportiert, mit Reservereifen. Decke aufgelegt, Schuhe ausgezogen. Campingkocher – ich bzw.: wir essen gleich aus der Dose.

Rechts unten am Strand – nicht gerade zum Baden. (Ist es der berühmte „Bondi Beach?“) Starke Motorrad-/Sonnenbrille – was?

Australian dollars laid out in a row, the tin with the cents and quarter dollars opened. Is it much? Can / should I send something to you. . . . in Upper Austria? In any case, I no longer smoke AUSTRIA 3 but TEMPLE BAR, (both without filter) and shave with PALMOLIVE LATHER (shaving foam) and brush my teeth with COLGATE (RIBBON?) DENTAL CREAM – the packs are on the sofa. Next to me is the music furniture: radio, record player and large loudspeaker. This is how I live and this is how I look
In the photo next to it, I’m standing in front of the shop window of a furniture store – when it’s summer here, it’s really cold here – that’s why the sign says “Warmth Week”.
In the photo below at the “picnic”, I drove into the country with my car (to the Outskirts of Sydney?), Everything I need for a snack transported in the trunk, with spare tires. Blanket put on, shoes taken off. Camping stove – me or: we’ll eat straight from the can.
Right down on the beach – not exactly for swimming. (Is it the famous “Bondi Beach?”) Strong motorcycle / sunglasses – what?
