Rosen streuen für . . .! Und: „Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose“ oder: Rrose Sélavy. Splendid Isolation_08. Teleportation: „Ok – Du hast Dich in der vergangenen Woche bemüht (mehr war halt offensichtlich nicht möglich) – heute also eine Aufgabe, die vielleicht leichter zu bewältigen ist: Streu’ einige Rosen aus Deinem Ewigen Archiv für die Mitarbeiter*innen der Geschäfte, die offen waren, für die Kassier*innen, die Krankenpfleger*innen und Ärzt*innen, für alle, die schauen, dass „der Betrieb“ so gut als möglich weitergeht!“ Danke! Herzlich Danke!

Gertrude Stein

Gertrude Stein (* 3. Februar 1874 in Allegheny, heute Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; † 27. Juli 1946 in Neuilly-sur-Seine b. Paris) war eine amerikanische Schriftstellerin, Verlegerin und Kunstsammlerin. . . Stein prägte den häufig in Abwandlungen zitierten Satz „Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose“, der aus dem Gedicht Sacred Emily in dem 1922 veröffentlichten Buch Geography and Plays stammt. (wiki)

Rrose Sélavy / Marcel Duchamp

1919 nahm der Künstler Marcel Duchamp das Pseudonym Rose Sélavy an, dem er Mitte des nächsten Jahres dem Wort Rose noch ein zweites „r“ hinzufügte und es in Rrose änderte. Einige seiner Werke waren mit diesem Namen gekennzeichnet. Der Name bedeutet in französischer Aussprache der Buchstabenfolge „Eros, c’est la vie“ („Eros, das ist das Leben“). Den Namen Rrose Sélavy gab Man Ray um 1921 ebenfalls einer Fotoserie, die er von Duchamp schuf, und in der dieser als Frau gekleidet porträtiert war. Im selben Jahr schuf Duchamp das Readymade Why not Sneeze, Rose Sélavy? (Warum nicht niesen, Rose Sélavy?), bestehend aus einem mit 152 marmornen Zuckerwürfeln und einem Stück Sepiaschale gefüllten Vogelkäfig. . . (wiki)

Gertrude Stein (born February 3, 1874 in Allegheny, now Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, † July 27, 1946 in Neuilly-sur-Seine near Paris) was an American writer, publisher and art collector. . . Rrose Sélavy / Marcel Duchamp

In 1919 the artist Marcel Duchamp adopted the pseudonym Rose Sélavy, to which he added a second “r” to the word rose in the middle of the next year and changed it to Rrose. Some of his works were marked with this name. The name means in French pronunciation of the letter “Eros, c’est la vie” (“Eros, this is life”). Around 1921, Man Ray also gave the name Rrose Sélavy to a series of photos that he made of Duchamp and in which he was portrayed dressed as a woman. In the same year Duchamp created the readymade Why not Sneeze, Rose Sélavy? (Why not sneeze, Rose Sélavy?), Consisting of a bird cage filled with 152 marble sugar cubes and a piece of sepia bowl. . .
