Dann dem/der Freund*in sofort mailen und weiter zum nächsten „Kodak Photo Spot“!* War nicht immer so einfach. Dieses Tableau zeigt einige Ansichten der „Nr. 1 PANORAM-KODAK“ aus der Sammlung des Ewigen Archivs, Nachlass Promberger.
„Panorama (Allsicht von griechisch pan, all, und horama, Sicht) nennt man eine perspektivische Darstellung von Landschaften oder Ereignissen, die von einem festen Punkt aus von mehreren Personen gleichzeitig zu übersehen sind. Sind die Bilder feststehend, so werden die zylindrischen Flächen als Rundbilder oder Rundgemälde bezeichnet, zu deren Betrachtung sich der Beschauer in der Mitte befindet. Varianten ohne eine 360°-Sicht, dafür mit beweglichen Bildstreifen oder Längenbilder in der Art des Rheinpanorama bezeichnet man im deutschsprachigen Raum als Cyclorama (auch: Cyklorama), in anglophonen Ländern als moving panorama. Die „Nr. 1 PANORAM-KODAK“ (1900–1926) ist eine Spezialkamera, die Panoramabilder von 5,7 x 18 cm mit einer horizontalen Ansicht von 112 Grad aufnimmt. Es gibt verschiedene Techniken, um Panoramabilder aufzunehmen. Eine von ihnen verwendet eine rotierende Linse, die das Bild auf einen gekrümmten Film projiziert. Die PANORAM-KODAK ist nach diesem Prinzip gebaut. Angetrieben von einer Feder dreht sich die Linse um ihre vertikale Achse. Auf der Rückseite der Linse ist ein flacher Konus angebracht, durch den ein schmaler Lichtstreifen auf den Film projiziert wird. Wenn sich die Linse dreht, bewegt sich die Rückseite des Konus entlang des gekrümmten Films.
Die Feder wird mit einem kleinen Hebel oben auf der Kamera gespannt, der direkt hinter der offenen Abdeckung des kleinen Reflexsuchers sichtbar ist. Es gibt keinen separaten Verschluss zum Öffnen und Schließen des Objektivs. Diese Kamera war eine sehr frühe oder vielleicht erste, einfache und kostengünstige Panoramakamera für den Amateurmarkt. Sie kostete 10 US-Dollar. Die Panoram Nr. 1 wurde 1900 eingeführt, und es dauerte sechs Jahre, bis die Multiscope & Film Company die ähnliche, aber viel billigere Baby Al-Vista Nr. 1 für 3,50 USD auf den Markt brachte. Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren mehr als 15.000 Panoram Kodaks Nr. 1 verkauft worden.
Die Panoram Nr. 1 war ein beliebtes Gerät, das in großen Stückzahlen (mehr als 22.000) verkauft wurde, bis die Produktion 1926 eingestellt wurde. Sie kann weiterhin verwendet werden, um Panoramabilder auf Rollfilmen der Größe 120 aufzunehmen. (http://www.kodaksefke.nl)

The “No. 1 PANORAM-KODAK “(1900–1926) is a special camera that takes panoramic pictures of 5.7 x 18 cm with a horizontal view of 112 degrees. There are several techniques for taking panoramic pictures. One of them uses a rotating lens that projects the image onto a curved film. The PANORAM-KODAK is built on this principle.
