Kanaldeckel der KLITSCHKO-KLASSE oder mit Kirschblüte sowie ein Memento zur frühmorgendlichen Studiotemparatur. Rovinj | HR; Tokyo | JP; Wien | AT (credits s. Text © PP · # 2437 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Als ich 2009 nächtens auf der Praterstraße in Wien auf einem WALLNER & NEUBERT Kanaldeckel einen etwas abgetretenen Werbeaufkleber entdeckte und fotografierte: „FRISBEE DER KLITSCHKO-KLASSE. . . .“ – die Brüder Wladimir und Vitali Klitschko, bekannt geworden als professionelle Boxer, als „Testimonials“ für die Fitness-Studio-Kette McFit – wäre mir niemals in den Sinn gekommen, dass 13 Jahre später Russland die Ukraine angreifen und einer der beiden Brüder Bürgermeister von Kiew werden würde. (gr. Foto li.) Geschichtsträchtige, gegossenen Objekte: „Schachtabdeckungen“. Besonders sorgfältig gestaltete gibt es offenbar in Japan: zB. Kanaldeckel mit Kirschblüte (Foto: © Sonja Gasparin). Der rechteckige Deckel in der ersten Reihe mit der Bezeichnung „FERNWÄRME“ mahnt mich, sehr frühmorgens, wenn ich in Boxershorts und Pullover bei der Arbeit sitze und ein Tableau über die verschiedenen Bezüge von Kanaldeckeln zusammenstelle, die Studio-Temperatur niedrig zu halten. Gas sparen sei das Thema der Stunde, erinnern mich immer wieder auch einige FB-Freund*innen.

Die Kanaldeckel in der ersten Reihe (3. u. 4.) sowie rechts unten „BENITO.com“ wurden von Sonja Gasparin in Rovinj entdeckt und fotografiert.

„Vitali Wladimirowitsch Klitschko (russisch Вита́лий Влади́мирович Кличко́, deutsche Transkription des Vornamens eigentlich Witali; ukrainisch Віталій Володи́мирович Кличко́ ‚Witalij Wolodymyrowytsch Klytschko‘; * 19. Juli 1971 in Belowodsk, Kirgisische SSR, Sowjetunion) ist ein ukrainischer Politiker, promovierter Sportwissenschaftler und ehemaliger Profiboxer. Seit seinem Rückzug vom Profiboxen ist Klitschko in der Ukraine politisch tätig. Er ist Gründer der Partei UDAR und wurde am 25. Mai 2014 zum Bürgermeister von Kiew gewählt. Bei der Parlamentswahl 2014 zog er außerdem über den Listenplatz 1 des Block Petro Poroschenko, mit dem seine Partei ein Wahlbündnis bildete, als Abgeordneter in die Werchowna Rada (das nationale Parlament der Ukraine) ein. Von 2015 bis 2019 war er zudem Vorsitzender des Block Petro Poroschenko, in der seine UDAR nach dem Wahlbündnis aufging. Sein jüngerer Bruder Wladimir Klitschko ist ebenfalls ehemaliger Profiboxer und war Weltmeister im Schwergewicht. . . .

Der ukrainische Präsident Wolodymyr Selenskyj forderte Ende Juli 2019 die Regierung auf, Klitschko als Leiter der Kiewer Stadtverwaltung zu entlassen. Hintergrund war, dass der Kiewer Bürgermeister direkt gewählt, der Chef der Stadtverwaltung jedoch vom ukrainischen Präsidenten in Abstimmung mit der Regierung ernannt wird. Andererseits ist vorgeschrieben, dass auch der Chef der Stadtverwaltung eine gewählte Person und somit de facto identisch mit dem Bürgermeister sein muss. Der Leiter der Präsidialverwaltung Andrij Bohdan behauptete in einer Pressekonferenz am 30. Juli 2019, dass ihm ein Anteil an Korruptionsgeldern in Höhe von 20 Millionen Dollar jährlich angeboten worden sei, wenn im Gegenzug Klitschko nach einer etwaigen Wahlniederlage Verwaltungschef bleiben dürfe. Außerdem warf er Klitschko vor, korrupt zu sein, woraufhin dieser Bohdan beim Nationalen Antikorruptionsbüro anzeigte.

The rectangular cover in the first row, labeled “DISTRICT HEATING”, reminds me, very early in the morning, when I’m sitting at work in boxer shorts and a pullover, compiling a tableau on the various manhole cover covers, to keep the studio temperature low. Saving gas is the topic of the hour, some FB friends keep reminding me.

“Vitali Vladimirovich Klitschko (Russian Виталий Владимирович Кличко, German transcription of the first name actually Vitaly; Ukrainian Віталій Володимирович Кличко, Vitaly Wolodymyrowytsch Klytschko ‘; born July 19, 1971 in Belovodskoye, Kyrgyz SSR, Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian politician who holds a doctorate in sports science and a former professional boxer . Klitschko has been politically active in Ukraine since retiring from professional boxing. He is the founder of the UDAR party and was elected Mayor of Kyiv on May 25, 2014. In the 2014 parliamentary elections, he also became a deputy in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s national parliament) via list number 1 of the Petro Poroshenko bloc, with which his party formed an electoral alliance. From 2015 to 2019 he was also chairman of the Petro Poroshenko bloc, in which his UDAR was merged after the electoral alliance. His younger brother Wladimir Klitschko is also a former professional boxer and was world heavyweight champion. . . .
At the end of July 2019, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the government to sack Klitschko as head of the Kiev city administration. The background was that the mayor of Kiev is elected directly, but the head of the city administration is appointed by the Ukrainian president in consultation with the government. On the other hand, it is stipulated that the head of the city administration must also be an elected person and thus de facto identical with the mayor. The head of the presidential administration, Andriy Bohdan, claimed in a July 30, 2019 press conference that he had been offered a share of corruption funds amounting to $20 million a year in exchange for Klitschko being allowed to stay on as the head of the administration after an eventual election defeat. He also accused Klitschko of being corrupt, prompting him to report Bohdan to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
