Jetzt bitte alle herschauen fürs Gruppenfoto! Lobpreisung der Dokumentation der Vergänglichkeit. Bad Ischl, Wien | AT · 1960–2002 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Das in meinen Augen vorbildlichste Gruppenfoto ist in diesem Tableau in der 1. Reihe, das 2. von links: „Salzbergwerk Bad Ischl, 26. VIII (zusätzlich: „8“) 66. steht auf der Tafel rechts unten. Der zukünftige Ewige Archivar strahlt mit Besucher-Overall und Kappe ins Objektiv, die Hände entspannt auf den Knien. Passt. Wenn doch alle Klassen- und Gruppenfotos so klar bezeichnet wären! Was gäbe ich dafür, alle meine Klassenfotos kompakt nacheinander, „sauber“ beschriftet so vorliegen zu haben. Hastiges Blättern, Suchen, schmerzhafter Verlust.

Allen Schulfotograf*innen sei dringend empfohlen, Aufnahmedatum, Uhrzeit und GPS Koordinaten in die Aufnahmen einzustanzen, am sinnvollsten wären natürlich Bilddateien mit Metadaten. Aber das geben die Fotograf*innen wohl nicht gerne her.

Bilder als Dokumente der zeitlichen und räumlichen Veränderung, der Bildung und Auflösung von Gruppen in sozialen Bereichen. Ich liebe Gruppenfotos.

Now please everyone for a group photo! Praise the documentation of impermanence. Bad Ischl, Vienna | AT · 1960–2002 (© PP · Eternal Archives) In my opinion, the most exemplary group photo in this tableau is in the first row, the second from the left: “Bad Ischl Salt Mine, 26. VIII (additionally:“ 8 ”) 66 is on the bottom right of the board. The future Eternal Archivist shines into the lens with visitor overalls and a cap, his hands relaxed on his knees. Fits. If only all class and group photos were so clearly labeled! What would I give for having all of my class photos compactly one after the other, labeled “cleanly” like this. Hurried scrolling, searching, painful loss.
All school photographers are strongly advised to stamp the recording date, time and GPS coordinates in the recordings, of course the most sensible would be image files with metadata. But the photographers don’t like to give that away.
Images as documents of the temporal and spatial change, the formation and dissolution of groups in social areas. I love group photos.
