Ist das Glas halbvoll oder halbleer, heißt’s „Stil-Leben“ oder „Stillleben“? Über Bild, Abbild, Realismus und Realität nachdenken in Zeiten einer Pandemie, von Abschiebungen, Flüchtlingslagern und Festplatten-Schreddern aus „Hilfsbereitschaft“. Übrigens: Ross-Schwänze sind in der US-Army jetzt wieder erlaubt! Amsterdam | NL; Damtschach, Grasberg, Neukirchen an der Vöckla, Wien | AT; Toskana | IT · 2009–2019 (Werke: © Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, © Richard Kaplenig, © Alina Kunitsyna / Fotos: © PP · Ewiges Archiv) Aus dem Stand und vor dem Frühstück salopp über Themen wie Realismus, Naturalismus, Funktionen der (bildenden) Kunst und die Gleichzeitigkeit mit Ereignissen der Zeit schreiben zu wollen, zeugt einerseits von Größenwahn, ist eine Herausforderung – aber: warum nicht? Außerdem stellen sich jeden Tag grundsätzliche Fragen in leichten Veränderungen. Warum ein halbleeres/volles/zerbrochenes Glas fotografieren, malen, herstellen lassen, warum Bilder und Abbilder davon anschauen, ausstellen, möglicherweise sogar kaufen wollen? Realismus, Naturalismus und/oder Eskapismus? Mein Leben wird jedenfalls bestimmt von vielen Gleichzeitigkeiten, Ebenen und Einflüssen. Um Überleben zu können, filtere ich die Eindrücke, Wahrnehmungen und „Bilder“ – zumindest versuche ich das bei auf mich einströmender medienindustrieller Dröhnung. Manchem kann ich ausweichen, anderem möchte ich mich nicht aussetzen, während ich mich bewusst für etwas engagiere – soweit dies in meinen Möglichkeiten ist. Kunst – bildende Kunst, Film, Fotografie, Street Art etc – ist für mich eine der wichtigsten Trainings- und Ausbildungs-Stätten, die es gibt, um meine Wahrnehmung jeden Tag zu überprüfen und mich am Sehen, Denken, Nachdenken und Leben zu schulen – und eines der allerwichtigsten Hilfsmittel, um nicht zu verzweifeln, sondern weiterzumachen! Unverzichtbar.

Schreddern als Akt der „Hilfsbereitschaft“. Zwei Kanzleramtsmitarbeiter sind am Mittwoch vom „Ibiza“-U-Ausschuss befragt worden: Nachdem der Kabinettschef von Kanzler Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP), Bernhard Bonelli, bei sich selbst keinen Berührungspunkt mit dem Schreddern von Kanzleramtsfestplatten sah, musste der Schredderer selbst Auskunft zum fragwürdigen Vorgang geben. Arno M. sagte, dass ihm zwei Fehler beim Schreddern leidtäten – er habe einfach „helfen“ wollen.
Debatte über Abschiebung von Schülerinnen. Ein bevorstehender Abschiebeflug hat in Österreich für Aufregung gesorgt. Unter den Betroffenen sind drei in Wien bzw. Niederösterreich lebende Schülerinnen, die demnächst nach Georgien bzw. Armenien überstellt werden. Schulkollegen machen dagegen mobil.

In addition, fundamental questions arise every day in slight changes. Why photograph, paint, produce a half-empty / full / broken glass, why look at pictures and images of them, exhibit them, possibly even buy them? Realism, Naturalism and / or Escapism? In any case, my life is determined by many simultaneities, levels and influences. In order to be able to survive, I filter the impressions, perceptions and “images” – at least I try to do so when the media-industrial boom is pouring in on me. Some I can avoid, others I don’t want to expose myself to while I am consciously committed to something – as far as I can. Art – fine arts, film, photography, street art etc – is one of the most important training and education facilities for me to check my perception every day and to train me in seeing, thinking, thinking and living – and one of the most important tools in order not to despair, but to keep going!
