Große Momente, tiefe Emotionen: Fußball so scharf wie noch nie! Damtschach, Unterferlach/Spodnje Borovlje, Wien | AT · 1982–2025 (© PP · # 3818 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Es ist mir selber ein Rätsel, warum ich erst heute früh auf den Gedanken gekommen bin, die schönsten Perlen des Departments „Fußball“ in der Bilddatenbank des Ewigen Archivs vor die ??? zu werfen! Spät, aber hoffentlich noch rechtzeitig zu irgendeinem Finale: einige der wunderbarsten, charmantesten, spannendsten Pretiosen aus dem umfangreichen Bestand des einzigartigen, sogenannten Ewigen Archivs: eine kurz kommentierte Auswahl:

„Am Ball sein . . “ aufgenommen in Unterferlach/Spodnje Borovlje im ländlichen Kärnten, im slowenisch-/deutschsprachigen Gebiet im Jahr 1982, ganz rechts unten eine Vignette: „WM 82 Espana“ ein Stier, auf einem Fußball kauernd. Passt. Gute Intro! Daneben, auf roter Glanzfolie eine textliche Triole, die viele Interpretationen ermöglicht; Sticker „bad-at-home.com DAS LEBEN IST EIN BALLSPIEL“ – leider schwierig zu fotografieren, aber recht ok. hier partiell abgedeckt, aber auf www.ewigesarchiv.at natürlich in völliger baumelnder Pracht; Sticker „WIENER TSCHUSCHEN“ mit Baseball-Schläger.

„Fußball so scharf wie noch nie.“ Breitwandwerbung für „Mega Netz“ des Mobilfunkunternehmens „Drei“, 2008; Das Foto daneben mit der Reihe von Männern in Sporthosen und bloßen Oberkörpern, mit schicken Kronen Zeitung-Aufnähern aus 2002, ist eines meiner Alltime-Favorits (insgesamt, alle Bereiche, aus vielen Gründen). Kandidat für den „Leni-Riefenstahl-Preis“

Great moments, deep emotions: football as thrilling as ever! Damtschach, Unterferlach/Spodnje Borovlje, Vienna | AT · 1982–2025 (© PP · # 3818 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) It’s a mystery to me why it only occurred to me this morning to showcase the finest gems from the ‘Football’ section of the Eternal Archive’s image database! Late, but hopefully still in time for some final or other: some of the most marvellous, charming and thrilling treasures from the extensive collection of the unique, so-called Eternal Archive: a selection with brief comments:

“On the ball . .” Taken in Unterferlach/Spodnje Borovlje in rural Carinthia, in the Slovenian/German-speaking region, in 1982; at the very bottom right, a vignette: “World Cup ’82 Spain” – a bull crouching on a football. Fits. Good intro! Next to it, on red glossy foil, a trio of words that lends itself to many interpretations; Sticker “bad-at-home.com LIFE IS A BALL GAME” – unfortunately difficult to photograph, but quite alright. Partially obscured here, but of course on www.ewigesarchiv.at in all its dangling splendour; sticker “WIENER TSCHUSCHEN” featuring a baseball bat.

‘Football as exciting as ever.’ A billboard advert for ‘Mega Netz’ by the mobile phone operator ‘Drei’, 2008; the photo next to it, featuring a row of men in tracksuit bottoms and bare chests, sporting smart Kronen Zeitung patches from 2002, is one of my all-time favourites (across the board, in all areas, for many reasons) .
