Replikant*innen schauen mich an. Amsterdam | NL; Bolzano | IT; Normandie | FR; Wien | AT · 2008–2019 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Wenn ich in der Bilddatenbank das Stichwort „Figurine“ in das Suchfeld eingebe, finden sich 887 Einträge. Ein wichtiger Teil jeder Archivarbeit ist das Beschlagworten, das sogenannte „Einpflegen“ der Neuzugänge. Ein Bild, das nicht sorgsam „eingepflegt“ wurde, ist schwer wieder zu finden im Datenraum. Erinnerungen trügen. Digitale Bilder sind automatisiert mit „Metadaten“ versehen wie Kameradaten, Aufnahmezeit (vorausgesetzt, diese ist in der Kamera richtig eingestellt), Aufnahmeort (wenn GPS-Konnex freigegeben), Copyrightinformationen etc. Bilder haben aber zunächst keine Schlagworte, die müssen weitgehend manuell beigegeben werden. Auch hier gibt es mittlerweile Automatisierungen und auch ich verwende Zusatzsoftware mit Gesichtserkennung und Beispiel-Bild-Suche. Aber: spezifische Begriffe muss jede*r anfügen. Ich verwende zB. den Begriff „Figurine“ für anthropomorphe Objekte, also „Skulpturen“ mit annähernd menschenähnlichen Zügen. Eine wie immer völlig subjektive Auswahl habe ich hier zusammengestellt.

„Ein Replikant (im Original Replicant) ist ein fiktiver, biotechnisch entwickelter Android im Film Blade Runner von 1982 und in seiner Fortsetzung Blade Runner 2049 von 2017. Die Replikanten der Nexus-Serie sind nahezu identisch mit erwachsenen Menschen, verfügen jedoch je nach Modell über eine überlegene Stärke, Geschwindigkeit, Beweglichkeit, Belastbarkeit und Intelligenz. Ein Replikant kann nur mithilfe des fiktiven Voigt-Kampff-Tests erkannt werden, bei dem emotionale Reaktionen ausgelöst werden und sich die nonverbalen Reaktionen eines Replikanten von denen eines Menschen unterscheiden.“

An important part of any archive work is the fitting of words, the so-called “maintenance” of new entries. An image that has not been carefully “entered” is difficult to find in the data room. Deceive memories. Digital images are automatically provided with “metadata” such as camera data, recording time (provided that this is set correctly in the camera), location (if GPS connection is enabled), copyright information etc. However, images initially have no keywords, which must largely be added manually . There is now also automation here and I also use additional software with facial recognition and example image search. But: everyone has to add specific terms. I use, for example. the term “figurine” for anthropomorphic objects, ie “sculptures” with almost human-like features. I have put together a selection that is completely subjective, as always.
