Im Film „Götz Burys Wunderkammer“ erzählt der experimentelle Bildhauer und Performance-Künstler Götz Bury unter anderem von seinen Projekten mit dem 2024 verschollenen Schriftsteller Bodo Hell, vom Domprediger Abraham a Santa Clara, den Sterneiern von Taxa und auch vom Künstler Franz West, für den er viele Jahre arbeitete.
Das Werk von Götz Bury ist sehr vielfältig, viele Jahre betrieb er – auch im Rahmen von SOHO Ottakring – das „Narziss Fotostudio“ (vormals „Traumfabrik“), in der man/frau sich mit diversen Requisiten vor Kulissen wie Südseestränden, Bohrinseln, Traumvillen fotografieren lassen konnte, lange Zeit veranstaltete er mit dem leider im Dachsteingebiet verschollenen Schriftsteller Bodo Hell Aktionen, Lesungen und Prozessionen durch die Wiener Innenstadt, er baut Musikinstrumente aus Trommeln von Waschmaschinen und Abfallmetall, präsentierte Kochshows zum „Besser Leben ohne Nix“ und vieles mehr. Götz Bury war auch einige Jahre Leiter der Metallwerkstätte von Franz West und baute viele der mittlerweile sehr bekannten, begehrten und hochgehandelten Metallmöbel.

Götz Bury’s work is incredibly diverse. For many years, he ran the „Narziss Photo Studio“ (formerly „Traumfabrik“)—also as part of SOHO Ottakring—where people could have their photos taken with various props against backdrops such as South Sea beaches, oil rigs, and dream villas. For a long time, he organized events, readings, and processions through Vienna’s city center with the writer Bodo Hell, who sadly disappeared in the Dachstein Mountains. He builds musical instruments from washing machine drums and scrap metal, presents cooking shows on „Living Better Without Nothing,“ and much more. Götz Bury also managed Franz West’s metal workshop for several years and built many of the now very well-known, sought-after, and highly traded metal furniture pieces.
