Ein Skandal und eine Schande für Österreich! Die Peršmanhof-Polizei-Razzia am 27. Juli 2025: 80 Jahre nach dem Massaker an den Familien Sadovnik und Kogoj durch das SS- und Polizeiregiment 13, bei dem elf Personen, darunter sieben Kinder ermordet wurden, stürmten am 27.7.2025 teils schwerbewaffnete Polizist:innen den Peršmanhof in Kärnten. Mit sieben Polizeifahrzeugen, einem Polizeihubschrauber, Drohnen und der Polizeihundestaffel bahnten sich rund 30 Einsatzkräfte einen Weg zur Museums- und Gedenkstätte, um dort eine Hausdurchsuchung im ehemaligen Wohnhaus der Familie Sadovnik vorzunehmen und die Identität der Anwesenden festzustellen. Die Anwesenden: Junge Erwachsene, Teilnehmende des Antifa Camps Kärnten/Koroška.

Einsatz bei Antifa-Camp lange geplant. Plan für Einsatz bei Kärntner Gedenkstätte stand bereits am Freitag fest. Beamte wegen Missbrauchs der Amtsgewalt angezeigt. Von Thomas Cik.
Von Vizekanzler Andreas Babler (SPÖ) abwärts meldeten sich mittlerweile Politikerinnen und Politiker zur Causa Peršmanhof zu Wort. Grüne und FPÖ wollen – unabhängig voneinander – parlamentarische Anfragen an Innenminister Gerhard Karner richten, um die Angelegenheit zu klären. Kärntens ÖVP-Landesparteiobmann Martin Gruber hielt für seinen Parteikollegen entgegen und hält „Schuldzuweisungen, wie sie momentan sehr intensiv stattfinden, von manchen, auch in Richtung der Polizei, für nicht angebracht". Und im Büro von Kärntens Landeshauptmann Peter Kaiser (SPÖ) soll es heute zu einem Runden Tisch aller Beteiligten kommen. Denn wie eine Polizeikontrolle beim antifaschistischen Camp am Gelände des Museums am Peršmanhof derart eskalieren konnte, ist immer noch Thema.
Recherchen der Kleinen Zeitung zeigen nun, wie die Causa ihren Anfang nahm. „,Entgegen allen Behauptungen war nicht die Bezirkshauptmannschaft Völkermarkt jene Behörde, die den Impuls für den Einsatz gab", bestätigen involvierte Personen. Deren Leiter Gert-Andre Klösch wurde vor allem von den Grünen massiv kritisiert, weil er in der Vergangenheit die Durchführung eines als Faschisten-Treffen eingestuften Ustaša-Gedenkens in der Nähe von Bleiburg/Pliberk zuließ. „Es gingen mehrere Meldungen bei uns ein, dass rund um das Peršmanhof-Museum campiert wird, daher entschloss man sich vom Bezirkspolizeikommando Völkermarkt abwärts dazu, dort Nachschau zu halten", erklärt Markus Plazer, Landespolizeidirektor-Stellvertreter. Wenngleich man an diesem Ort mitten in den Karawanken nicht zufällig vorbeikommt, sollen es mehrere Anzeigen" gewesen sein. „Und weil man wusste, dass es ein Antifa-Camp ist, hat man einen Polizeijuristen vom Landesamt für Staatsschutz und Extremismusbekämpfung (LSE) beigezogen der sich mit der Szene auskennt." Dass man im Zuge der Vorbereitung bereits am Donnerstag Aufklärungsflüge mit einem Hubschrauber des Innenministeriums über dem Gelände machte, will Plazer nicht bestätigen. Am Camp beteiligte Personen berichteten dies.
Fest steht: Die Planung des Einsatzes war bereits am Freitag vergangener Woche abgeschlossen und jeder Beteiligte wusste, dass die Aktion am Sonntag um 10.30 Uhr nach einer Einsatzbesprechung auf der Polizeiinspektion Eisenkappel starten wird. Warum man in dieser Zeit nicht noch einmal darüber nachdachte, ob man in einem ersten Schritt mit weniger als sieben Beamten anrücken könnte – die Diensthundeführerin und die Schnelle Interventionsgruppe stießen erst später hinzu – soll nun auch in einer Analysegruppe des Innenministeriums geklärt werden.
Rechtsanwalt Rudi Vouk, der am Sonntag von den Organisatoren als Rechtsvertreter zum Peršmanhof geholt wurde, brachte indes eine Sachverhaltsdarstellung bei der Staatsanwaltschaft ein. Sein Vorwurf: Missbrauch der Amtsgewalt. Und die Vorhalte gegenüber den Behörden sind umfassend. Ein Mann, der bei der Abfahrt aus dem Tal kontrolliert wurde, erlitt eine Verletzung am Kopf, als er gewaltsam aus dem Fahrzeug gezogen wurde. Persönlichkeitsrechte und der Datenschutz wurden laut Vouk auch verletzt, Personen bewusst provoziert und es gibt auch Fälle von Freiheitsentzug. „Es ist mehr als offensichtlich, dass die Polizei nichts anderes wollte, als die Daten der an diesem Camp teilnehmenden Personen zu erhalten. Dies ist ihr letztlich auch gelungen", so Vouk in seiner Anzeige, die der Kleinen Zeitung vorliegt. In dieser rechnet er auch einen finanziellen Schaden zum Nachteil der Republik auf. So habe der Einsatz nach „nicht fachmännischer Schätzung 10.000 Euro auf jeden Fall, mit größter Wahrscheinlichkeit aber 30.000 Euro überschritten." Plazer zu den Vorhalten: „Zum Glück sind wir in einem Rechtsstaat, wo sich diese Vorhalte vor Gericht unabhängig klären lassen."

The Peršmanhof police raid on 27 July 2025: 80 years after the massacre of the Sadovnik and Kogoj families by SS and Police Regiment 13, in which eleven people, including seven children, were murdered, heavily armed police officers stormed the Peršmanhof in Carinthia on 27 July 2025. With seven police vehicles, a police helicopter, drones and the police dog unit, around 30 officers made their way to the museum and memorial site to search the former home of the Sadovnik family and establish the identity of those present. Those present: young adults, participants in the Antifa Camp Carinthia/Koroška.

From Vice-Chancellor Andreas Babler (SPÖ) downwards, politicians have now spoken out on the Peršmanhof case. The Greens and the FPÖ want to submit parliamentary questions to Interior Minister Gerhard Karner, independently of each other, in order to clarify the matter. Carinthia’s ÖVP party leader Martin Gruber countered his party colleagues and considers ‘the accusations currently being made by some, including against the police, to be inappropriate’. And a round table discussion involving all parties concerned is to take place today in the office of Carinthia’s governor Peter Kaiser (SPÖ). How a police check at the anti-fascist camp on the grounds of the museum at Peršmanhof could escalate in such a way is still a topic of discussion.
Research by the Kleine Zeitung newspaper now shows how the case began. ‘Contrary to all claims, it was not the district administration of Völkermarkt that initiated the operation,’ confirm people involved. Its head, Gert-Andre Klösch, was heavily criticised, especially by the Green Party, because he had previously allowed a Ustaša commemoration near Bleiburg/Pliberk, which was classified as a fascist gathering, to take place. ‘We received several reports that people were camping around the Peršmanhof Museum, so the Völkermarkt district police command decided to investigate,’ explains Markus Plazer, deputy state police director. Although it is not easy to come across this location in the middle of the Karawanken mountains, there were reportedly several reports. ‘And because it was known to be an Antifa camp, a police lawyer from the State Office for State Protection and Extremism Control (LSE) who is familiar with the scene was called in.’ Plazer does not want to confirm that reconnaissance flights were already carried out over the site on Thursday with a helicopter from the Ministry of the Interior as part of the preparations. People involved in the camp reported this.
One thing is certain: the planning for the operation was already complete on Friday of last week, and everyone involved knew that the operation would begin on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. after a briefing at the Eisenkappel police station. Why no further consideration was given during this time to whether it would be possible to proceed with fewer than seven officers in the first instance – the service dog handler and the rapid intervention group only joined later – is now to be clarified by an analysis group set up by the Ministry of the Interior.
Lawyer Rudi Vouk, who was brought to Peršmanhof on Sunday by the organisers as their legal representative, submitted a statement of facts to the public prosecutor’s office. His accusation: abuse of authority. And the allegations against the authorities are extensive. A man who was checked as he was leaving the valley suffered a head injury when he was forcibly pulled out of his vehicle. According to Vouk, personal rights and data protection were also violated, individuals were deliberately provoked, and there were also cases of deprivation of liberty. ‘It is more than obvious that the police wanted nothing more than to obtain the data of the people participating in this camp. Ultimately, they succeeded in doing so,’ Vouk said in his complaint, which is available to the Kleine Zeitung newspaper. In it, he also calculates the financial damage to the Republic. According to a ‘non-expert estimate, the operation cost at least 10,000 euros, but most likely exceeded 30,000 euros.’ Plazer commented on the allegations: ‘Fortunately, we live in a constitutional state where these allegations can be independently clarified in court.’
