AT | CA | FR | NL · 2002–2021 (© PP · www.ewigesarchiv.at) „I wanted to make a masterpiece!“ sagte Tonio, italienisch-stämmiger Professor für Filmstudien an der Universität in Montreal, als er das Essen auf den Tisch stellte. Er und seine Frau Karen, Professorin für Schauspiel, hatten Barbara und mich zum Abendessen eingeladen – ich fand den verkündeten Anspruch einfach großartig, diese unglaubliche Vorgabe an sich selber! (Das Essen selbst mit recht fetten italienischen Würsten in einer Art Auflauf . . .) Ich frage mich selber immer wieder: was ist mir wichtig? was ist mein eigener Filter? Welche Ereignisse, Tatsachen, Nachrichten blende ich aus, drücke ich weg? Was nehme ich selber wahr?

He and his wife Karen, professor of acting, had invited Barbara and me to dinner – I thought the claim that was announced was simply great, this unbelievable requirement for yourself! (The food itself with really fat Italian sausages in a kind of casserole…) I keep asking myself: what is important to me? what is my own filter? Which events, facts, news do I hide, do I suppress? What do I perceive myself?
