Der Große Ring um die EXPO Osaka 2025. Osaka | JP · 2025 (Foto li. ob.: © Ibamoto/Wikimedia Commons/CC BY-SA 4.0 © PP · # 3560 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Das Gelände der EXPO Osaka 2025 umfasst ein riesiger Großer Ring aus Holz, gefügt ohne Schrauben und Nägel mit historischen japanischen Holzverbindungen, entworfen vom Architekten Sou Fujimoto. Dieser Ring ist auf zwei Ebenen begehbar und ermöglicht einen Überblick auf das EXPO-Gelände – darunter auch auf den österreichschen Pavillon (re.ob.), in dem das von mir im Auftrag von Kärntner Kulturstiftung KKS und Land Kärnten Kultur produzierte Video FOCUS ART CARINTHIA läuft mit Sequenzen zu den Künstlerinnen und Künstlern Cornelius Kolig, Maria Lassnig, Meina Schellander und Herwig Turk (s. Link)

Zu diesem Ring, der größten Holzkonstruktion ever (lt. Guinness Book of World Records) ist soeben ein umfangreicher Artikel in The Architects Newspaper erschienen (s. link)

This ring is accessible on two levels and provides an overview of the EXPO site – including the Austrian pavilion (right above), where the video FOCUS ART CARINTHIA, produced by me on behalf of the Carinthian Cultural Foundation KKS and the Province of Carinthia, is shown with sequences on the artists Cornelius Kolig, Maria Lassnig, Meina Schellander and Herwig Turk (see link).

An extensive article on this ring, the largest wooden structure ever built (according to the Guinness Book of World Records), has just been published in The Architects Newspaper (see link).
