Corona yeah! Wien | AT · 2020 (© PP · Ewiges Archiv) Im Gegensatz zu Vielen habe ich nur eine rudimentäre Ausbildung zum Virologen, Hygieniker, Statistiker und Risikoforscher, den Fernkurs für Paramediziner an der Universidad de Mescalin habe ich nicht abgeschlossen, die Online-Tutorials sind mir zu teuer. Aber: um mich herum massenhaft Wissende, Zweifelnde und Prediger*innen. Eine Freundin erzählte mir, dass ihr ein Arzt nach der Behandlung deutlich seine Meinung gesagt hätte, wie schädlich die Masken seien, wie groß die Kollateralschäden schon seien und erst werden würden! Große Bevölkerungsteile und Religionsgemeinschaften wähnen sich in völliger Sicherheit: sie würden sowieso immun sein – so ein Corona-Theater!

Und ich: keine Sekunde Zeit-im-Bild geschaut, keine Youtube-Fanale verfolgt. Bin wie immer nur auf das Ewige Archiv zurückgeworfen.

Eines allerdings steht für mich fest: Wäre ich Verkäufer*in, Kassier*in in einem Geschäft, wäre ich Mitarbeiter*in an einem Ort mit hoher Kundenfrequenz – dann würde ich mich in einer so unklaren und umstrittenen Situation nicht wohl fühlen, wenn am Tag hunderte Menschen ohne Masken an mir vorbeizögen.

Vienna | AT 2020 (© PP · Eternal Archives) In contrast to many, I only have a rudimentary training as a virologist, hygienist, statistician and risk researcher, I have not completed the correspondence course for paramedics at the Universidad de Mescalin, the online tutorials are too expensive. But: around me masses of those who know, doubt and preachers. A friend told me that after the treatment, a doctor had clearly given her his opinion on how harmful the masks are, how great the collateral damage was and was only about to become! Large sections of the population and religious communities believe that they are in complete safety: they would be immune anyway – such a corona theater! And me: not looking for a second in the picture, not following any YouTube fanals. As always, I just thrown back on the Eternal Archive. However, one thing is certain for me: If I were a salesperson, cashier in a store, if I were an employee in a place with high customer frequency – then I would not feel comfortable in such an unclear and controversial situation during the day hundreds of people passed me without masks.
