Angesagte Revolutionen finden selten statt – auch nicht, wenn sie von Banken und Versicherungen bezahlt werden. (Sujet © Wiener Festwochen GesmbH; Tableau © PP · # 3191 · www.ewigesarchiv.at) Dabei war die Werbung so richtig üppig, frech, ganz schön provokativ. Eine echte Weltrevolution halt, wie sich’s gehört, mit Hauptsponsoren Bank- & Versicherungskonzernen. Mit echter Graffiti-Typo, mit PussyRiot Sturmhauben. War sicher nicht billig – ABER sie wirkt. Liebe UND Revolution – da kriegen Journalist*innen schon feuchte Augen vor Begeisterung. Mit vollen Taschen ist eben gut stinken. Und auch so nachhaltig! Ahja: aus den Werbe-Plastikplanen werden sicher nachher Umhängtaschen gemacht. Aber klar doch.

A real world revolution, as it should be, with the main sponsors being banking and insurance groups. With real graffiti typography, with PussyRiot balaclavas. It certainly wasn’t cheap – BUT it worked. Love AND revolution – journalists’ eyes get wet with excitement. It’s good to stink with full pockets. And so sustainable too! Ah yes: the plastic advertising tarpaulins will certainly be made into shoulder bags later. Of course they will.
